NBA 2K13 Demo Available Now For 360 and PS3, Post Impressions Here

The NBA 2K13 demo is available now on the Marketplace for Xbox Live "GOLD" members (available next week for Silver). Most are getting it by searching for "2K13" or going to Genre ---> Sports and Recreation. You can also queue it up right here.

The PS3 demo arrives later this afternoon, we'll update this post when it's available.

UPDATE: PS3 demo is available now. If you don't see it, search for it.

The new controls take a little while to get used to, so make sure you check out the Controls trailer, we posted yesterday.

Graphics aren't all that great really, and the game isnt running ultra smooth. At least on my console. Really hoping it's an old build, because to me it needs lot of cleaning.

Offline:
it is a refined 2k12, I like it.
Up and unders are way too effective just yet. (probably the setting)

Online:
Input delay/lag is a game killer for me.
Too many ofensive rebounds.
Too many steals.
No brain Run and Gun is still the way to go... :-(

- Players have weight and power. You can really feel the difference when dribbling around with LeBron and Wade.
- CPU is taking a good amount of mid-range shots.
- Saw a nice give-n-go with Westbrook and Sefolosha, with Westbrook throwing it down at the rim.
- No slacking on defense. Westbrook will explode by you like people are saying if you're bojanglin, or find the open guy. I was guarding him with Chalmers at the top of the arch, tapping X carlessly like you could do in 2k12 and hope to poke that ball out. The CPU took advantage and went right by me right to the basket.
- Smooth rebound to going straight up like they tell you to do IRL. Real nice.
- Shot and made a buzzer beater (or not) that didn't count because I didn't get it off in time, crowed starting booing at the ref who said it was no good.

Played one game this morning and i have to say I'm very impressed so far. Everything just feels so much better.

I actually loved it. The new shot stick system is ssiiick, finally since 2k11 I can dribble past defenders actually by ''performing'' better than they. LOVED IT!

The online has been great for me. Mostly lag-free except for one game.

I love this demo, I played some but not a whole lot of 2k12 - but I like what I am seeing in 2k13. A lot.

Also the tip dunk animation:

When you press the button for a tip dunk, you should at least go for to board, not just hit it with your head.

Old build guys old build. I remember they said they tweaked it hella lot in 2 weeks. So enjoy the demo but game will be diffrent for sure, details and big things.

He make it tough for players, BUT he always getting busted man... I haven't seen him lock anyone down, but Kobe... And Kobe always getting locked down by somebody because he takes difficult shots... I think his defense is overrated...

I love going full bully mode with LeBron, the weight of the players seem to matter.

Not feeling the lineup for the Heat, the no-subs thing is killing me. Battier is a huge liability on the boards but when he goes to get a rebound he's jumping out of the gym for it.

The time between input and execution on the controls is a little bit of a problem. Screens and picks are more effective, I just can't get players to set them.

I like the way players react to the ball on offense, moving to get open and creating space.

Double-teams by the CPU are good, I scored 6 points and dished out 3 assists with LeBron, next possession I had, they swarmed LeBron as soon as he touched the ball. It seem the CPU will call off doubles when other players start to make them pay.

Just a reminder sometimes a lag has nothing to do with the game and everything to do with your internet. I have not lag once online and played 10 games online

I'm loving the quick foul animations.

I started up a game and decided to foul out 'Rio and practically no time came off the clock each time I fouled Russy (whose animation appeared to be one of slight annoyance).
