NBA 2K13 Demo Available Now For 360 and PS3, Post Impressions Here

The NBA 2K13 demo is available now on the Marketplace for Xbox Live "GOLD" members (available next week for Silver). Most are getting it by searching for "2K13" or going to Genre ---> Sports and Recreation. You can also queue it up right here.

The PS3 demo arrives later this afternoon, we'll update this post when it's available.

UPDATE: PS3 demo is available now. If you don't see it, search for it.

The new controls take a little while to get used to, so make sure you check out the Controls trailer, we posted yesterday.

1 Five minute quarter

Look at all this love in here. Shame that in a few weeks people will hate this game and patch it unnecessary and call it the worst. History never lies....2k should build off this love and not change the specs of the gameplay

wont download the demo...but i will watch the comments

There is a button scheme for take charge and one for flop...I could be wrong but I think flopping is in the game

Anyway, Im amazed at all the complaints about controls and having to learn them for a couple of reasons

1. If it was the same, people would say it feels like 2k12

2. Just yesterday some of the same dudes were saying it looks too easy, now they're asking for 2k12 controls back

No it's not...played online a few times and tried to flop but ended being called for blocking...

I even did the imaginary get hit flop lol just made my player lose position..

Played 6 games so far and have seen three glitches, hopefully just a demo problem..

1st had a layup go off backboard over Haslem, then Allen blocked the ball out of the net for a no goaltend call.

2nd was Online opponent thru and alley to himself but missed backboard, Durant caught it but no traveling call...this could be horrific.

3rd opponent called a TO after a score in final seconds, and the game gave me the ball out of bounds..

Not a good look in 6 games, 3 glitches.

Anybody know if we can manually bounce pass with icon passing?

i.e. RB to bring up the icons, then LT plus the corresponding button

Ok i just stood there switching the ball back and forth with westbrook and charmers justs falls........ also lt-RS is just stupid. Bad enough i have switch something i been doing for 5 years around...its another when the change dont work correctly.

I just got the demo. I'm Lebron at half court with nobody within 5 feet of me. I tap B twice on defense to try to flop and he does the Ric Flair fall. Awesome.

How's the rebounding seem in the demo? Is it still just as bad as last year(point guards outrebounding bigs, clunky slow rebounding animations, players not grabbing the ball when it's right in their face etc).

Sad but true... I hope more people get a chance to read this. I hate when people complain over the smallest things and demand a patch.

Don't fix whats not broken. 2k is doing a hell of a job.

I like the online demo, but i don't know if it will help improve the connection for teamup mode (my fav mode). I'm pretty sure it's why 2K released an online demo right? So that they can correct some of the server issues?

Let's wait until the actual full game is out before talking about patches. What's the point of talking about a patch when the game's not even out yet and we have no idea what needs to be fixed or addressed?

2ks Demo's are always different than the retail games, scaled down graphics, not much audio, no play calling, tons of features missing like playcalling, and the overall feel

getting used to the controls is a work in progress....but so far it seems to be for the better

the contact animations and mid air in the paint are amazing

the shot animations near the rim are very believable.... gone are the awkward looking finishes

speed is right on point and is refreshing to watch

dunks and layups....incredible animations so far
