Is it just me or does Battier have major ups when going for a rebound?

Love the demo. Went about 12-3 playing online so far.

Though I am already getting used to controls, I am not sure about them in the long run. Broadcast cam does not help, but I know I have deal with that every year at demo time.

Didn't we lose a few moves with this new control scheme? For instance, I can't keep away the ball out of the triple threat. Also, did we lose the standirng dribble moves where you could cross back and forth between your legs or dribble from side to side with one hand?

He's definitely been leaping a little more than I'm used to seeing. He had a sky block for me on one occasion and even here, probably jumping a little higher than we're accustomed. Nice fast break bounce pass though:

I know 2K tries to keep their demos as small as possible (though almost 1 GB isn't what I call small) but I wish that they had added a practice mode of some sort to try out the new control scheme.

Yeah, I can't play online at all. Maybe it's just poor matchmaking, but there's literally a 1 second input delay that makes it borderline unplayable.

Tried 3 games so far and it's 0/3 on a good connection.

Simply beautiful. It's just rubbing me wrong with Battier jumping like LeBron. That's something sliders will fix hopefully lol. Durant is unstoppable with that jump shot. You have to crowd him just like in an actual game. No more 2-15 in the 1st quarter like in 2k12

Scoreboard indicates whether a team is already in "Bonus". Nice!

You'll get used to it man... i think that alternate is like Live 10 used to be. I haven't played it in a bit but I remember something similar... was very fun. I was able to pull off a score of moves and work the CPU overtime and that game only had a shoot button

No demo for PC? Shame.

Hey look, it's one of those guys who gets mad if anyone is critical of something. How original.

There's a 1-2 second input delay for every online game, is that a valid enough complaint?

Take another bow Visual Concepts. Your dedication to hoops gaming is unrivaled, peerless, and simply unheralded. Year after year, the game surprisingly seems to FEEL and play differently than its predecessor.

This year, the controls and movement is tighter than ever. When VC mentioned a true one to one dribbler, they meant it! As soon as you start using left stick in conjunction with right stick dribbling, the user options abound with what seems like infinite options to break down the defender or create space to get off a shot. The left stick can be used for a more explosive step back as well as a wider spin than you get when using the right stick. Both the sticks have its benefits when used in proper context. Suffice to say, working the sticks is a welcomed breath of fresh air to the franchise.

With regards to the button mapped jump shots (which I am not a fan of btw), I was relieved to find that they can be performed just as well on the shot stick with the LT modifier. The plethora of escape dribble, drifter, step back and momentum shots with the LT+double tap RS in various directions have already produced some awe-inspiring animations when shooting. The fact that these shots can be interrupted when neutralizing the stick produces some amazing pump fakes that will have over aggressive user defenders on a string.

All this and I have yet to really delve into the post game, as I'm having too much fun with the new dribbler and shot animations.

Again, take a bow VC. The only dev team that I can consistently count on year in year out for year round entertainment in the gaming industry. One more thread about "these guys not understanding bball" and I will lose my mind.

**checks out momentarily to check my email...im supposed to be working from home today**

Anybody else notice that there's a bit of a lag when using LT+R-stick? It's not as responsive as I would like it to be...

Anyway I played a few games online and had someone actually quit on me...lol can't hang for 1 quarter of 5 minutes?

# 237 JWiLL02 @ 09/25/12 12:04 PM
Anyone else notice if you pause the game online, you can't unpause?

I thought some of the guys I played before were just being dicks, but they had to dashboard after.

Thats because they added in the choice to plays as both teams & online coding.

Is that true? I thought the guy was just being a jerk because I was on the lead...
