NBA Live 13 Trailer Arrives, But the Game is Delayed Indefinitely

While the NBA Live 13 trailer shows the game in action, according to Kotaku, it might be the last we see of it, for quite some time.

	Questioned by Kotaku, an EA Sports spokesman refused to discuss release format, time frame, or the game's anticipated feature set. Asked why this series, which has been off shelves for three years, couldn't hit an Oct. 2 release date with a 70-man team in place for a year, he said: "We're not going to get into that level of detail with this announcement. In early April, you saw where we were with this project and how ambitious it was, that they had to take down the code of Elite and rebuild it. Its easy to surmise that also took time, in the development cycle, to get the whole thing up to speed. It was an ambitious project and it is a challenging game to create."

Embarrassing might not be the right word anymore to describe EA's situation. This is the absolute low point. I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes but I'm sure it can't be more chaotic. It seems like there are people in charge who simply have no clue what they do at all. It's unbelievable...

Yeah, but if you asked the OS staff for the last year the game was going to come back and make a big mark in the sales department. Now you hear nothing from them after they trolled us all while touting EA. I tell you, you guys have no respect or credibility.

The majority of comments are knocking the game, and rightfully so. And there are also comments praising the game. However, they are the minority. For you to only focus on the minority suggests a selective perception.

Is it a problem that some people like it? Personally I'd say no, just as long as they are the minority. Why does everyone need to share the same opinion?

There are people here at OS that like the game/video. Of course there will be some on Youtube as well, right? Hell, it could be the same people.

Faces are real, WOW, but 2K has the real moves, even the presentation in Live is so good, the glassy logos, but with the game play video that they released defently put me off, I'll not get it even if it was free.

This honestly hurt me when I watched it. As a former Live fan its pretty sad to see what has come of this franchise.

I compare my current feelings to the Donovan McNabb 'ending'. I grew up rooting and loving the guy despite the flaws. Eventually I understood that he wasn't getting the job done and had to move onto something better. Even though I moved on I'd still take a peek to see what he was doing, hoping for the best. Then all of a sudden all of his flaws are harped on, he's told that he's straight garbage and he's out of the game.

This Live video gives me the same 'punch in the stomach' feeling watching #5 fade.

I have to laugh at the current state of Live because they keep saying they welcome feedback and they are taking suggestions, but if they had asked any of their fans prior to the development of Elite they would everyone would have said that Live 10 was the best game they had made in a long time and to develop off of that.

Another thing about that Pierce shot. Look at how skinny he is compared to some of the other models like the ridiculous CP3 one. It looks like they got the 2 models mixed up or something.

Honestly cedric what is your affiliation to this game. I already find it suspicious that you were always the first person to post some new live info as if it was being handed directly down to you.

Now with generic corny sugar puff statements like the one made above I honestly have to ask what your agenda is. Add more polish to the game? Honestly? Any reasonable person would see the game doesnt need polish, it needs a new engine. Nothing is working the way it should and no amount of polish will fix that.

We didn't see any gameplay, I'm sceptical too BUT I'm enjoying the fact 2K can have competition, that can make them at least better I think! So we can't be the judge for now I think, let's make a try, see what's going on with this game, and don't judge it with the trailer I mean.
