NBA Live 13 Trailer Arrives, But the Game is Delayed Indefinitely

While the NBA Live 13 trailer shows the game in action, according to Kotaku, it might be the last we see of it, for quite some time.

	Questioned by Kotaku, an EA Sports spokesman refused to discuss release format, time frame, or the game's anticipated feature set. Asked why this series, which has been off shelves for three years, couldn't hit an Oct. 2 release date with a 70-man team in place for a year, he said: "We're not going to get into that level of detail with this announcement. In early April, you saw where we were with this project and how ambitious it was, that they had to take down the code of Elite and rebuild it. Its easy to surmise that also took time, in the development cycle, to get the whole thing up to speed. It was an ambitious project and it is a challenging game to create."

Judging it strictly as an XBLA game; I would be impressed if it played a good game of basketball (sim I hope, but I believe they will lean towards arcade).

Sad to see how far this series has fallen...

I still remember Live 2000 and Live 2001 on the PC. Man, what a great game. Played so well and the Mod community was just fantastic. Was probably my favorite basketball game next to ID2004 (Best ever IMO) and 2k11 (A classic as well).

No we have this, how does this happen?

I put the trailer in HD and watched it full screen on my LED monitor...and I can see the details better and see the potential in what they were doing.

I think the area of stiffness is where the joints and movement between the elbow and forearm are just not moving.

Also if they added a little cloth effect to the jerseys it would also make a difference....Even with Pierce big *** head, there is a lot of small things like that, which would make a difference.

Maybe they need to put more motion balls on the joints during mo-cap it would help the models flow better.

But it's not as bad as I posted earlier, can't wait until finish product! I know it won't be perfect, but it better be different than that terrible leaked video.

Does it really matter if he's a EA Fanboy.....I'm a 2k Fan, but I like the Live series. And I will blast 2k and EA both when they make a bad product. I even did a 2k12 video called this is garbage, showing the shot clock cheese, cpu controlling my player and so on.

I've made Live videos showing the jacked up movements on rebounds, and the out of bounds junk.

When Live 13 comes out, I will criticize it to death with vengeance.......Because before I'm a fanboy, I'm a basketball lover, a player in real life, and I'm a gamer.....and have a passion for realism and so forth.

People being fanboys doesn't make their opinions any less truthful, than you saying the opposite of what they say.

It's matter of view and opinion...

Back on Topic:

It's time for EA to do some flood marketing they have 7 days before no one will really care if Live 13 comes out or not...

Save us Live 13!!!! Played the 2k demo and I dont know why just not a fan of 2k bball and prefer the Live gameplay so much more.
