Grew up with NBA Live, moved on to 2K in 2008, but am rooting for this franchise to make a return. This doesn't do much to raise my hopes though. If EA thinks this is even going to make a dent against 2K13, they are sadly mistaken.

I can admire the route they're trying to go, but they seem to be having massive difficulties in getting anything to come together.

Keep plugging away though guys. At the very least, the threat that EA might actually get their act together and produce a good b-ball game keeps the guys at 2K motivated. I do not want to see a monopoly in the b-ball market.

the game doesn't look as bad as everyone is making it seem, yea there's issues but, that doesn't mean its going to be a bad game. Looks fine to me so far an definitely a step in the right direction. I'm a Live/2K fan and don't get me wrong, 2k is an awesome game been playing since 2k7 but the fun factor last longer on live. With 2k its hard to have fun with it wen da CPU be doing some impossible stuff. Check out this breakdown video for live 13.

Embarrassing might not be the right word anymore to describe EA's situation. This is the absolute low point. I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes but I'm sure it can't be more chaotic. It seems like there are people in charge who simply have no clue what they do at all. It's unbelievable...

"hank God they don't have the exclusive license for basketball too. This is the kind of junk we would have gotten, with a massive hype machine behind it. The games would have released and been garbage but still would have had tons of people loving it and tirelessly defending it. Anyone asking for 2K to make a basketball game would have been told there's no guarantee 2K would have ever made anything better. It would have been Madden 6-12 all over again.

They should just give the game away to season ticket subscribers as an incentive to sell season ticket and try and get the game up to the level of a legitimate release game for next year.

Dude said it best. I recently played my throwback NBA 2K8...ah man the graphics look great! 2K needs to find a way to roll back to that era graphically and keep the animations as they are today. It just looked more realistic. Of course they need better facial tech though. Long live 2K Sports!
