Everyone should have an opinion, but come on bro it looked like something last gen or for iPad/Tablet. If Elite was terrible and this looks worse IMO, how do you figure its not that bad. Why would a pre alpha build leak less than 40 something days until release?? Thats because it's not pre alpha. They could've showed pre alpha months ago, but thery kept quiet and showed and revealed nothing.

That's your opinion. I didn't say it looked great, I said it didn't look like the worst game ever like some of you are making it out to be.

And your whole basis for reaching the conclusion that the game looks terrible is based on a PRE-ALPHA build. Why are we dissecting a pre-alpha build? Anyway, like I said, I've said enough on the topic. You guys can continue to do what you do.

Its not a pre alpha

It is that bad

Its been over 2 years

Its been vouched for over and again in THIS thread and shown how its far beyond pre-alpha (if you even know what that means)

and the list goes on, but you just refuse to either read the thread or even acknowledge those simple things

On some real ish, I would of bought NBA Live 13 this year no matter what IF they would have invited some OS guys down there (that we can trust) to help with the game. If they would of taken a chance with bringing OUR community to their studios to see the game I would have taken a chance on their game.

Now I have a couple of the AC members (s/o to thaliveking) on my Twitter and they're cool peeps but I need my Operation Sports family and their critical ways in there to ensure what we complain about in these forums is heard on the next level. If our suggestions aren't making it higher than their is no reason for me to make it to the counter. 2k listens to their fans and they have a game that most will enjoy despite its flaws. EA totally ignores one of the most influential communities on the net and has a terrible game. I'd think they'd put 2 and 2 together one day.

Edit: And I motion to get this forum moved to 'The Other Basketball Games' forum once its cancelled. Do I hear a second?

Let the record show that we are now three days removed from that footage getting out and EA has not said a word since or shown a single sliver of footage of a more up to date build to show that what got out was Pre-Alpha.

And if you think we're getting a demo of this game after a demo sunk they're last basketball release then I've got a bridge in New York with your name on it.

It actually did look really bad for a game made in 2012. Pre alpha or not (they had all the teams and logos in this build). The game really didn't animate well. The player models look like crap. The rim physics were horrible. The video footage was bad. If we are being honest, this game looks last gen.

And that's unacceptable in 2012. EA hasn't released a basketball title in 2 years man. They should be further along than what we saw in that video. It's very disappointing. I grew up playing Live titles (Starting with Lakers vs celtics).

This game isn't on the same level as NBA 09, Live 08, 09, or 10. That's crazy.

If y'all would have came back positive for the future I would have supported it. I don't recall anybody coming back too thrilled -- hence the reason we need OS guys down there, I know we'll keep it real.

Constructive feedback and video analysis is welcomed. You don't necessarily have to be here to get the ball rolling. All ideas, opinions, and feedback is welcomed. At the end of the day we want an NBA game that fans will enjoy and identify with.

I just thought I should point out there are a number of OSers who attended the Elite community Day (whose feedback was ignored) and they have attempted to "get the ball rolling" numerous times, only to be met with silence.

I understand things are hush-hush and kept very-close to the chest on this project but there ARE individuals who have wanted to be involved and have already offered to provide constructive feedback. I would liken it to they have attempted to get the ball rolling... but someone has the ball and isn't willing to share just yet.

See how nice this man is even though people here have been all over this footage?

I hope - no, I EXPECT - that our members will be kind enough to offer constructive criticism in return.

If he's here to hear us out, do it the right way.

That's a good point and something that needs to be expressed. It seems there is a huge disconnect between the community and the decision makers.

It's nice to have a Community Manager here and/or a developer, but if they are here to just listen and appear to care rather than actually implement changes then the people will see right through them.

If they want some real constructive criticism, then here it is: Forget the game, forget the animations, the graphics, gameplay, etc. The first thing EA needs to do is have their real decision makers here listening to the community.

We aren't convinced that a Community Manager is the answer. No disrespect to anyone in that position, but from our perspective, it doesn't seem to matter when the decision makers continue to state they want to make a game that is nothing like the community and fan-base has been asking for over the years.

Them not you

Again as Pared said.. that's already been done, and they got no response.

After that I saw the Community guys get ignored for longer than a year even though they continually asked over and over, then get back slapped with that contest thing that popped up on Facebook which eliminated them

The only time they seemed to listen a bit was when they made Live 10..but thats beating a dead horse right

...and the timing of this post is incredible after the most recent events.. before this nobody could get a word out of EA, so I know they know, just wasn't saying anything... now its share and care time?

Sorry man

The presentation and stats at the bottom of the screen looked good. The gameplay though looks awful.

The timing is obvious. Agreed.

And I know it's beginning to feel like that person you know that burned you once, twice, however many times and is asking for another chance.

I want to go tell EA to screw themselves. They had their chances and didn't listen.

But, what we have been asking for is input and someone to listen. Maybe this is it? I don't know.

What would you want them to do to show they really will listen this time? Serious question. I don't know what would actually convince me, but I get the feeling it will take someone there opening up that line of communication (officially), receiving that input, and then showing us how they implemented that input. However, that requires people actually wanting to both receive and give input.

All I can say is to bring people who have good knowledge of basketball in for feedback, and also listen to gamer feedback. And put that feedback in the game. Also add some in-depth modes, take notes from 2k. Not trying to be rude or anything, I'm just saying.
