Rivals great post. Didn't want to quote it due to the length.

However I am hoping since this was release over a month pre release there is hope for some good surprises that make it in by release time.

I know probably not but still hopeful because at least they have an offline dynasty that can be played the way you want it. So this will be my only football game this year

After he caught the ball or before? If before, thats a good call its not like hockey where you own the ice your on the returner has to be unimpeded until the catch. If after thats just funny but an easy bug to avoid, I usually get out of dodge once I see its a fair catch

Yes I've seen that. The playbook for your first match gets stuck for the subsequent game, no matter what team you play as.

If my guy is standing still and then I start walking away from their returner after he called for a fair catch and he runs into me to get away from the ball, that's not going to get called as "Interference". Of course it's not like hockey where you own the ice, but if the returner runs into you when you're walking away, then there's no interference. That's just like whenever someone gets blocked into the returner, a good ref isn't going to call it.

Finally got around to playing a couple of games of the demo (which speaks volumes of how my anticipation level for this title has waned).

Overall, I'm just not feeling it. NCAA Football 11 was perhaps my favorite game of all-time. And what they've done to this title since then is a crying shame.

First off, the graphics aren't as good as 11. I've played the two day matchups. Jaggies galore around the shadows (it was like I was playing the MLB 2k series). Jaggies in the stadiums, too.

Something isn't right about the lighting either. Can't put my finger on it. Maybe too bright? Gives it sort of a cartoonish feel.

As far as gameplay, pass rush is too strong, receivers drop too many balls and there are far too many CPU picks. These things, however, might be remedied with sliders.

Too many studio updates. They really overdid it here. Makes you want to skip every one.

Commentary is slightly better, but still dull and uninspired. It's time for a change here, guys.

I'm seriously thinking about canceling my pre-order with Amazon, even though I got it for something like $36, following a $10 credit of some sort. It's a good price for a game, but if your heart isn't in, it's not worth your valuable time.

But I'll wait for credible reviews and feedback as we near the release, and then make my decision.

Finally played the demo last nyte:

Passing seems to be fun again. Fun in being realistic. I also missed a couple of wide open guys by just Tebowing it and throwing in the dirt. W/o sliders being adjusted, that's fantastic. And good passes and decisions FINALLY seem to be rewarded. I've always had the mind set that if you make the correct decision and execute properly, you should be rewarded - not robbed by a LB 20 yds away from intended WR.

Zones seems to be very effective and will be key in this game. Lock-down man-to-man corners will be highly coveted.

Re-plays and cut scenes are awful, again, with the grass looking like it hasn't been cut 3 months after a monsoon (I slytely exaggerate here).

I still need to play some more games to get a better feel. I wasn't going to get this due to no import draft classes. But, after playing a couple games ln, they may have swayed me.

Its no different than Ncaa 12 for the most part. if player progression is fixed this year i'll buy it when the price drops

Uh, I just don't know. Downloaded and played last night. Didn't enjoy it - I honestly felt bored out of my mind. Not many new animations it seems, studio updates show up whenever you get a first down - doesn't make sense. The studio update is going to be like an annoying cutscene that doesn't move - you're just going to keep smashing a button to get out of it.

Overall, not super impressed. I'll probably buy it one way or another though - just to add onto my collection of NCAA games. So far the best feeling game has been NCAA 09 personally. There's something about NCAA 11/12 that just doesn't feel right; and 13's demo has that same "eh" feeling.

The more I play the demo, the more I notice just how improved the WR/DB interaction.

I've seen some beautiful plays "both ways".

I've seen DBs make great reads, following the ball with their head the entire time, and either batting the ball away or picking it off.

I've also seen the WRs make great catches, with the DBs barely missing a deflection or a diving pick.

The amount of psychic BS and unreal animations are drastically reduced...DRASTICALLY..at least in my experience so far.

I'm still surprised at how many people say they haven't noticed any difference in the gameplay.

I use to be in the same boat.. every NCAA has felt the same on the Next-Gen system.. this one feels completely different with the passing, DB/WR interactions and new animations.

Has anybody gotten to overtime and seen what decision the cpu makes if they win the toss? Is it defense?

The fatigue model works a lot better this year. Players are actually getting tired.

I felt this way at first, but the more I played the demo and then went back to 12, I began to really see the differences, so much so that I traded in NCAA 12 the other day.

YES! The two games feel completely different from each other. My friends and I stopped our Online Dynasty after playing the demo awhile. We just found ourselves getting frustrated trying to pass in NCAA 12 and how robotic the game felt.

Had a WEIRD demo experience today, first time I played it in a few days. I forced five Oregon fumbles, recovered three. Only to get sacked 6 times. I wanted to work on the passing game so I was calling only passes and the Oregon DLine rocked me. Ended up being a 13-7 win. I was baffled by some of the stuff happening.

Just curious, did you use any game planning features?

I didn't even realize gameplanning was in the demo. No, it was just the regular settings.

I just want to highlight that the demo is on pro. I love the new WR DB interactions as much as the next guy but dont be surprised if the Ms Cleo defensive backs come back out on the higher difficulties.

Agreed, but to be honest, not every game in the demo I play has the same level of "freshness", which is weird to me.

Like Ill play a game and be amazed by how great the passing is and how well the dbacks/wideouts play, but next game I play will feel a little stale and I wont see too many new animations or interactions.

But overall Im happy.
