O also remembered one play I was running a power O and I was forced to bounce it and I had the pulling guard in front of me and he just slowed down and like started heading off the field or back to the huddle, but completly got me killed. So instead of a TD I was tackled for a loss. I really hope plays like that don't happen in the retail, because that isn't even realistic just quitting on the play with the ball right there.
Sorry but this game is no good.
I do appreciate all the NEW enhancements but its just TOO many element and OLD problems that still exists. Running feels like WAY TOO smooth, normal screens dont work properly, OLine and Dline interactions are the SAME as the last 2 years (NEEDS COMPLETE OVER HAUL) No individuality (RBs run like WRs) I can go on.... But its okay game for people who do not look at a football and football games closely...

Played it for a few hours last night. This will be the first time in over 10 years I will not be buying it. It feels like NCAA 2012 after a 3rd patch. Crowd sounds better and the defense doesn't have psychic AI. That's about it. Everything else is EXACTLY the same. They added studio updates which... after a while, get extremely annoying. Looks, feels, plays exactly the same as it has for the past 3 years.
$29.99 might be worth the upgrade but $59.99 is simply insulting.

To people complaining about receievers catching streak routes deep without looking when the ball is thrown. This is not unrealistic. Often a streak route is thrown and the receiver has to find the ball in the air after it is thrown.

Love the sideline catches and new passing improvements (although WR #10 for LSU is not THAT good in real life.. lol).. LSU crowd chants are sweet.. Really solid game with a lot of small improvements from 12.. commentary is a little stale, but the new ESPN stuff is quite lovely. I'm sure the final build will be even better..
I'm not sure if I'd keep my pre-order if it was $59, but for $45 on Amazon, I'll be buying.. it'll definitely hold me over until Madden. Great year for football fellas!

I won't get to play the demo until tomorrow.
For those of you who have, would you say it has made your decision easier whether to buy it or not?

I was impressed. I mean guys we aren't going to get what we want, but I think the game is getting better. I found the new passing system great. I threw poorly due to my tendency to throw on the run, but this of course added to the realism. The receivers were better, and I enjoyed better blocking on returns. Although I'm still disappointed with a 2D looking crowd, but it was better then last year and louder. The timing of the loudness of the crowd was close to spot on. I loved it. And on a second note, guys not buying this game won't encourage EA to improve it, they will be encouraged to discontinue it. But overall 8.5/10.
Played Alabama (Me) vs LSULSU DE's were nice. I am not seeing the DT's get all the sacks like madskillz. LSU's LE was eating me up though. Also the most sacks I have had in one game all day were 4. Never seen these 7 a half? LSU also had a nice HB SCREEN that picked up a 3rd and 8 late in the game that eventually allowed them to hit the winning fg. Lost this one 9-7. My only loss. I missed 2 fg's.
LSU (Me) vs Alabama
Alabama had no answer for my running game. Was able to pound the ball. Plus LSU d can put pressure on QB. Loved the DL play. Mathieu got burned on one play from a pump fake, but was able to catch up and make the tackle. I won 24-13.
Baylor (Me) vs K-State
Baylor's HB is a beast. I like LSU's rb a lot until I used this guy. I wish he was on my team cause I won't be running a dynasty with Baylor anytime. There was no defense. Neither team got a sack. Final 28-27. This was the first game I had multiple huge plays of 25+ yards both for me and the cpu. K-State QB was killing me. I bit with a de on the read option and Klein made me pay for a 42 yd gain. I like that the cpu is able to read better on this.
USC (Me) vs Oregon
Matt Barkley is nice, but I did throw 2 picks with him in the end zone.... ouch. Trying to get the corner fade but didn't seem that it worked well for me. This was a good game though. Oregon's option was nice but not overdone. QB made a couple of nice reads but a couple of terrible one's also. Although that could be because he is young. Hit a fg with time expiring to win 24-21.

I didn't notice a lot of difference with this game. But a lot of small things that improved it some. I was definitely hoping for more. If 12 played like this with a patch it would have been.... hey nice work. The fact that it is a new game leaves me underwhelmed.
I did like the read react. But sometimes it seemed they just programmed the defender to always look for the ball so that it would appear he was looking at it when he made the play rather than having to look for it before making it.
Seemed much smoother, I like the punt return setup but is still seems that the blocks are not great. Don't think special teams got the adjustments I was hoping for.
Read option seems 200% better than it has ever been. Never ran a triple option or pitch so not sure how that worked out but the sped up read option was nice and you will get burned by a good team if you don't contain.
I also think the crowd reacted more appropriately but still seemed way to quiet for me. Especially in Death Valley?
Like it but not in love with it. It's a must buy for me every year, but still feel like not enough improvement was made. Of course I don't remember a year where the demo played anything like what I got when retail came. Unfortunately retail usually has a patch right away that ruins some gameplay aspect. We will see in a few weeks!

Is it me or did they still manage to add momentum to the game. There were a lot of animations for what seemed to be stop and start speed for defenders. Although it is a bit fast on natural play speed so maybe my eyes just werent adjusted

Pretty disappointed. Other than it being a little more smooth, it felt like I was playing NCAA 12. No new cleats make the game look old, and the jerseys/player models look the exact SAME. I will probably NEVER play the Heisman Challenge. I did like how the crowd reacted to different plays, and the chants. I also know that the demo is certainly not the finished product but it didnt leave a good impression with me. Ive been buying CFB games since I was 6 years old and will buy this one, but EA has to step it up.
I'll admit I had fun playing the demo. More than I thought I would. It is smoother and I saw some new animations.
Running the ball seemed better as in running into your your guys and having to move around them.
I love being able to throw passes in anticipation of the WRs breaks. Defensive end pressure WAS NICE!!! The game looked beautiful.
If the sliders work... this could be a great game. Maybe I will buy. I'm still going to hold off until others buy the game and see if it's as polishes as it needs to be, but it looks promising. Still bummed about no Infinity.

I enjoyed it. Passing game me a hard time and the defensive play is pretty good. Now it's kinda hard to wait for the final product. Defiantly a buy for me.
I think demo is solid. There where a few mishaps that I noticed. One in particular that bothered me was at the very end of the first half, the CPU had the ball and converted a 3rd down which gave them a 1st and goal on the 5 with :01 left. instead of hustling to the line and taking advantage of the stopped clock to try and chuck one in the endzone, the CPU spiked the ball which ended the half. Kind of weird that they would do that.
Anywho, for me I really wish the demo let you play with some options. I like to play on slow game speed with the player speed threshold all the way to 0 (Don't get me started on how unrealistic an 84 speed LB chasing down a 94 speed receiver is). It just feels better. Although I do like what I see with the passing improvements, I have to say, with all the new features that Madden has this year, I am unfortunately going to skip NCAA at release. I may buy it later on when the price drops though.
