Great great decision here and I disagree @Marvellousone 2K removed all the pressure by putting out an extremely buggy and game with horrible online performance. People are ready to welcome EA back into the fold. Look at all the comments everyone is hopeful. That is great for EA. Let It Begin... LOL I'm ready can't wait to see what direction they went in.

I heard someone say they're purchasing the game already.....? You havent even seen anything yet. You probably bought elite huh? Look thats you but it would be stupid on the account that ea has given half effort too so dont think they're not about that money and that they've changed so much yet until you see something, Its just one cycle. they'll haft to work for mine though, I might or might not be purchasing it when the price comes down unless the game is better than 2k, but I'll still have 2k they work better under pressure anyway so good for live coming back. I just hope ppl are purchasing the game for a way more legit reason then them changing the name back, you give them money that easy and you know they'll purchase the license! Thats all im saying.

Except that wouldn't make much sense. Why would they release a title once the season in nearly over? That would be like releasing NCAA during bowl season, or Madden after the Super Bowl. I think they'll wait until August or September in time for next season.

The obvious move. No way could they call it Elite. The best thing to do was go back to Live & try to harness some continuity from that frachise & attempt to bury the memories or Elite.

Just put Durant back on the cover! Haha. I'm open to a new/old experience with a different game. They had a crew-type thing going on in Elite before it got axed, and it looked very cool. There is a niche for online play that I think could be filled if they did it the right way.

If it doesn't have online trophies I'll even be tempted to try it. I thought the defunct NBA Elite had some good ideas in it, too.

I Agree with you Czar about 2K they did have a chance to make this even more one sided but they dropped the ball. But EA hasn't been consistent with there NBA Live series since they brought it to the Next Gen(Current Gen) system, NBA Live 10 was the first success and then what happened they went in a whole different direction and they thrown up a brick.

People are hopeful that EA can come through with NBA Live and I would like to see them produce a great game but year in and out the NBA Live community has had that same hope for EA to finally get over the hump but that hasn't happened just yet. This is why I feel they still have a lot of pressure on them...not only to compete with 2K but they have to prove to there fans that they can produce a very good basketball game, they have very little room for error with this years title and since they had a bit more time to work with the title people are going to expect more from them this year than what they have given. Again this is my opinion but I do agree with your 2K statement Czar.

The only way it's a good move is if EA comes stronger then EA and live up to their promise of creating a sim/realistic game.

Weird how Every year people Who love ea says they Will rock This year. Yet Every year they are inferior. Imagine if 2k Got that benefit with nhl2k or mlb2k. That just prove how brainwashed some consumers are. Hype is going to be crazy on os This year though since os people are affiliated /starts to work for ea now.

I agree with you but you have to learn to visit sites like this just to get a gauge of what is going on. You can't take these guys opinions too seriously you never know how many plants roam these types of sites.
