Ahhhhh, ok. Thanks!

Not sure how I feel about this game. I'm almost leaning on the side of keeping it a player building/strategy game without D-Pads or sticks involved.

The game is exactly this. When we launch p2p live, it is indeed optional. It will just be an extension of the main game.

Yeah, I actually don't mind it being focused on team management. The key IMO is to have a lot of depth in that department. If that is achieved, and there is always interesting decisions to be made for your team, then the game will be great.

Does that mean there will be an option for a strategy only game or could I be competing against a player who uses pads and sticks while I don't?

If a "mixed competition" exists and a clear advantage is found with the "motor skill" player that could be a problem.

How will this compare to Quick Hit in terms of a monetary investment? A lot of those guys put in well over $200 to build a team.

Gridiron Heroes is a GM-style simulation. If/when we get to man vs man, you can play matches head-to-head in the old school TSB way in an optional format.
Opt-in leagues, daily grudge matches, etc - There are no details because it's an expansion yet to built, but know that they are very different. The core of GH will always be the simulations.

You never need to pay to progress through the game. As for balancing, that will be determined in the upcoming beta.

Players are randomly generated and distributed per team. Teams will be evenly distributed determined by an overall attribute count (think points.) This way one team isn't full of scrubs and one team if full of studs 'randomly.' You have the chance now to create a specific player - name, attributes, position, etc when backing the Kickstarter. You can make this player a stud /5-star as well. This is a beta-only option.

I did not know people would spend that much on QH! To be honest, I didn't care for QuickHit much at all. So much potential, yet so little delivery.

Play example:
So you'll have ten of these plays available for a particular game? Is that 30 total plays counting offense and defense?

We aren't planning the KS demise just yet. We'll supply options after the project's success!

Can you tell us a little about the player ratings system?

Ah cool, thanks. Looks very similar to Tecmo ratings. How does Footwork rating work?

New gameplay video!!!

http://youtu.be/DmIpCM8ir9s - LINK

This shows a majority of all the new cutscenes. It is lacking scoreboard functionality, new menus, new defenses, etc

You'll see the skeleton of the original ones as these are stupid easy to create. Menu update soon!

Also, our Kickstarter is 3 days away! Help if you can! - LINK

Looks good so far. Nice to see Tecmo Super Bowl running without flicker and slowdown.

One question:

Why are all the players' first names in lower case?

The player names font for kickoffs and TDs also seems a bit off.
