Also, if you go that route, make sure you have a crap ton of logos. Just look at why Madden's CAT on next gen sucks (they have what, 2 logos?).
There will be one of two options:

1) A set size the user can upload, ie 64x64
2) An array of logos to choose from. Color ways will be selectable along with the jersey colors.

Can't say I'm not intrigued. Looks like it'll be fun. Just don't know how much I'd play something like this, as FB games don't do anything for me. If I were to get in to one though, this might be the one.

Could you make a video with all the cutscreens? Thanks

Offensive Audibles - useful?

Too Madden?

# 49 jyoung @ 02/14/12 01:15 PM
I didn't like audibles in Tecmo Bowl III because they let the defense change plays once they recognized what play you were running based on your offensive formation.

Only way to counter that was to setup your playbook so that all your plays ran from the same formation.

So no to audibles.

# 50 davefmurray @ 02/14/12 03:26 PM
In TSB3, you are given 16 plays to choose from. One audible would shut you down?

# 51 jyoung @ 02/14/12 05:24 PM
16 plays total, but only 8 to choose from at one time.

And most of those 8 plays had something unique in the formation/presnap that tipped off the defense to what play you were running.

So a good defensive player could recognize the offensive play presnap just by looking at the other team's setup and audible to something that beat it.

Motion, trick plays and Playaction plays are all in pairs! Gotta use em both for maximum trickery!

So we've had a ton of views in this thread.

Is there anything in particular that has you holding out from backing the Kickstarter project?

We are all ears and would LOVE feedback!

We are expanding our defense flexible a bit more!

Cover 0 - All man to man
Cover 1 - Man - one deep & man to man
Cover 1 - Zone - one deep & zone
Cover 2 - Man - two deep & man to man
Cover 2 - Zone - two deep & zone
Cover 3 - Man - three deep & man to man
Cover 3 - Zone - three deep & zone
Cover 4 - Zone - four deep & soft underneath coverage

We are SUPER excited about this! Let us know your thoughts!

# 55 jyoung @ 02/15/12 03:13 PM
Are there any pre-set blitzing plays?

Or is it just like Tecmo Bowl where you get a "blitz" if you guess the other team's play correctly?

# 56 davefmurray @ 02/15/12 03:15 PM
We currently have blitzing in dev.

Send an LB or DB within a formation.

These will part of the coverages packages as well.

As always, the all-out blitz will remain!

6 different color choices -

OH.SNAP.

# 58 mmorg @ 02/17/12 12:27 PM
This looks like it will be amazing. My friends and I played countless seasons of Tecmo and college and now that we are all living across the country this will allow us to continue these battles from our home. I am so pumped for this and I can't wait to tell them about it. I will probably end up donating $15 to get the Beta access but we will see.

I think people are holding out because they just want to see more of the game. You should go into deeper detail. Start by showing a video of some of the trick plays, a video of bad snaps and dropped snaps and how the audibles will work, player data screens, describes some of the new player traits what they mean and how they will affect gameplay, the structure of how the league will be set up. Stuff that will excite old and new Tecmo Super Bowl fans alike. Show everyone how your keeping faithful to the classic gameplay but at the same time improving it. People don't want to just hear about it they want to see it.
