Maybe each league could have the option of using Audibles or not?

And, unfortunately, my money is currently an endangered species. (In regards to the Kickstarter)

Subscribing to this thread so I remember to take a look at this later when I am less busy. Looks pretty cool.

Very insightful write-up, I like what I'm hearing. The passion you have for Tecmo Super Bowl really shines through and this can only mean good things for Gridiron Heroes.

I have to have Facebook to play this?

Oh. Well, pass then.

Optional upgrades for purchase if you'd like, but never necessary to play and build your franchise.
Any interest in having a mobile app? Iphone and/or Android? I'm an objective-C and java developer and this is a project I would particularly be interested in.

This will be neat if I can do custom leagues with my friends. I don't wanna play with just random people. Also the option to have rookie drafts, player retirement, and that kind of stuff for leagues is a must.

QuickHit lacked those things, and failed because of it IMO.

Did it fail? Quick Hit was too money based for my taste.

It failed horribly for my friends and I. Extremely bland game.

Oh, also please have complete career stats for players. A hall of fame feature would be awesome to have for leagues too.

If your friends play, you will be automatically grouped together. You can also setup grudge matches between each other.

Players have a career-span and age over time.

Player acquisition can happen a few ways.
1) FA list
2) A farm-type system. You can receive up to 2 new players each season and this can be accelerated when upgrading your training facilities.

A draft-type model is something we have been messing with as well. With our league structure, it will be interesting to find balance for this and to see if it works.

Our game is far more arcade-style and it's MUCH faster. QuickHit is boring because of the perspective, the unnatural movements and it's pace.

We don't really compare to QuickHit due to the fact that you play against other users, not a main AI/CPU opponent with an option to play against other users.

Once our live p2p (man vs man) expansion is ready, our game's gameplay variables could be never-ending in a sense.

Never played a game on Facebook-I rarely login to it. How does that work. Facebook is the server for your game?

# 75 nc0ffey @ 02/27/12 02:23 PM
I might be interested in this. Especially if you can set up leagues with friends, I would hope you can just pick certain friends to play with though so that random people don't jump into your league.

Facebook games are simple to run. Just add the app to your profile. Then choose it from "My Apps" and you're good to go.

Weeman is right. Super-simple to install and play.

League play is tied to 14 or 16 teams and offers progression.

If your FB friends have the game installed, you'll either be grouped into the same league together (if joined in offseason) or you setup grudge matches between each other.

Your franchise moves to different leagues or tournaments based on performance.

Private leagues are an expansion being looked into but will not be a part of the main game. You will still play and build your team through the normal method but would be able to play in a separate private league with an optional handicap setting.
