We'll announce the public beta shortly. Shooting for 10 days after the KS beta2.

There won't be controller support with the opening release as the game runs in coach-mode.

This release is coach-mode. In the PVP (man-controlled) release, no, it won't be possible. We found in our play testing that it changes the dynamic too much on the short and narrow field.

No, this release will be full-on asynchronous. The next plan is to roll out COA vs COA, if you will. Lastly, roll out the PVP (MAN vs MAN) version.

Initially, yea. We plan to have it available on an outside domain as well, but you'll still sign up with FB.

Is there a plan down the road to have the regular mode where you control the action on the field via controller. Thanks and good luck with this venture.

Agreed. That is a rad thing about Unity. Once this gets rolling porting is a piece of cake.

Having a stand-alone app that connects to the pvp lobbies is certainly on our feature board, but without team licensing it seems strange, right?

Did you guys back the project by chance? We didn't get many OSers so just curious.

Overall, a p2p/pvp/head-to-head format is where this is going.

This. As long as FB is involved I won't touch it.

Steam on the other hand; I am all in.

Is the screen resolution being designed for a modern 16:9 ratio?

If so, that alone will be a welcome improvement over Tecmo Bowl's old 4:3 ratio.

Yes, and the field view is ~27% wider. You can see wayyyyy down field now. Haha.

Unfortunately I have not and won't sign up for facebook. I am also mainly a single player gamer. If it gets on steam and offers a lot of features including single player mode and controlling the players via a controller, I will pledge $60 to help your cause.
