thanx to clarify that : )

But the shimmy can be done as well

how? if u need the right stick to do it?

Well just quick left, right left. Of course you lose the dribble in the process but the shimmy is a move in which you have to hold the ball. So yeh, while backing down with a dribble just a very quick left right or for the double shimmy left right left (or the contrary of course)

Oh if you want a move similar to the shimmy without losing the dribble you push LT and LS towards the basket and he will perform a shoulder fake.

just played my first games in demo and had great fun
still have few questions

; the post moves- how you makes faks ans shots- right or left stick? do ineed to use l2 while post moves?
2nd question- what mean the red in the circle around the player
(i realised the blue is stamina and the yellow mean ability to score from that pos)
hope you'll have the patience answer my questions
btw,it will be great if someone will upload post moves tutorial
thanks anyway

sorry for my english - what do you mean when saying "live dribble"?
thanks for help

You cant do the shimmy with a live dribble The shoulder fake which looks similar can be dont with a live dribble. Hold L2 (LT) and move the L-Stick towards the basket

PS3 version doesn't have electronic dornas compared to the 360. Its still using the slide method...

Here you will find the pictures with all the controls.

Live dribble is when you are in the act of dribbling the ball.

Now I'm confused. Of course you can do the shimmy of a live dribble, but you lose the dribble in the process. Or you mean doing a shimmy while keeping the live dribble? Then it's not a shimmy at all.

AI seems much improved. Bosh got me with a pump fake then drew the foul as I bit on it. Very nice.

To b honest dis shud nt b how da final built is the ai is nt smarter then las years game regardless of the difficulty the players jus dnt play like themselves nd Wassup wit n da paint it's jus too unrealistic nd also most player model has bn downgraded dis game jus isn't ready

LeBron plays like himself.. Heck, it's better then seeing the PG take the most shots on the team regardless of which superstar they have (2k11). Player model's haven't been downgraded IMO, Dirk look's better, Bosh looks better, and the animations are better as well. The defense in the paint seems improved too....

Great ball handlers are still falling and losing the ball in the paint. I don't know who's idea that was, but I've been watching, and playing basketball since I can remember, and I've never seen that happen. Demo is great tho, can't wait

More impressions:

+ Hands up works really well. Not only being able to move around, but also for just contesting shots in the paint. With TC in the paint I was able to put my hands up and force contact without a foul numerous times and I've also blocked some shots this way. And when coming back on defense, defending the outlet pass to the point guard can work sometimes too.

+ They brought this back from 2k8 I believe, but I threw an oop to Tyson Chandler while he had defenders parked in front of him and he caught the ball and landed with it. If this was last year the pass would've just been thrown away.

+ Aggresively backing down, I've had mixed results from defenders flopping. Sometimes you'll get the call and sometimes they'll get it but it's very balanced.

Ok...thanks. The Ps3 version seems to be missing quite a few details surrounding the court and in the presentation this year. I am glad that the on-court graphics (can actually see lights bounce off the floor) are improved, but there are still too many discrepancies when u add them all up.

Now last year's demo was really ugly and ev'one said it was an early build just wait til the retail drops "blah blah blah" and I bought the retail hoping for the best but it looked EXACTLY like the demo.

I wonder if the retail will be better looking than the demo this year. So far, 2k10 was the best looking version for the PS3 2k series to date, IMO. 2k11 took a step backwards on PS3 graphically, and 2k12 has taken two steps forward (on the court between the lines), but the colors are more washed out than on 2k10.

I almost don't want to admit how much fun the 2k12 demo is b/c there is so much that needs to still be fixed on PS3, but gosh darnit the game is still flat out fun.

Are you serious, first this is not the final build, second last year superstars did not play true to like, I have seen Lebron and Wade do things that I have never seen before, they got me a few time with the head fakes (seriously how do you do that?) player models are a huge improvement, but that is just my opinion but I am usually right, lol.

I am satisfied with the gameplay improvements and the overall smoothness of the game, but dissatisfied with the graphics. I am playing on PS3, and am strongly considering picking up a used 360. If anyone has played the demo on both consoles, I'd love to know if there's that much of a difference graphically. Since 2K uses 360 builds for its trailers and gameplay videos, we can infer that this game simply looks better on Xbox. My question is how much.
