Man this demo gets better and better for me. All the issues I had with 2k11 have been corrected so far.

That is:
-Shooting fouls happen more often now!
-Number of offensive boards and rebounding in general
-Steals are now realistic, you actually have to watch it how you bring the ball up.
-Number of non steal turnovers.
-The size up is powerfull this year when going against D scrub
-Overpowered moves have all been toned down. (p&r, euro, hop etc)
-And driving feels like driving now. Also I wouldnt worry about the D since I remember in 2k on casual you could pretty much blow by anyone so once we hit the sim or at least default sliders it should be good.

SO this year we will actually be able to get the dynamics and stats of an NBA game, I also imagine that games with 20 O boards are possible now.

Only thing that worries me is that FTs are still to easy. I can shoot 100% with all of the mavs. Which makes late game fouling and fouling in general a bit obsolete.

That shimmy can only be done when the ball is not live right?

Nope. You can do it with a live dribble as well. But of course you lose it in the process.

You know what shocked me was even with the demo how good the sound was on this game. I have my system running through a 7.1 surround sound system, the way the crowed sounded and that staduim music/sound effects have really impressed me, can't wait to see how the retail version will sound.

how do you execute those? I push RS to the opposite direction of the one I chose to shoot and it still won't bank

I seriously can't play the demo anymore, I love it but can't play the Heat anymore, Oct 4th can't come to soon.

played a game of the ps3 demo this morning (was downloading overnight)

Overall, looks so much better than 2k11 (didn't even bother buying it for ps3 after playing the 2k11 demo last year). Virtually no jaggies. Controlling still seems a bit laggy to me, but maybe it's just from playing the 2k11 PC version all year which was really responsive imo.

i'm waiting to hear if the PC version is crippled like last year, or else i may just pick up the ps3 version.

Are you certain? I tried LT for banking and had no luck, then saw in the controls post that instead of releasing RS you need to flick it to the opposite direction, no luck on both nonetheless...

Have fun getting in touch with them this way...

Posting a poor quality video and screaming at the devs is not the right way to get their attention.

i'm having a hard time pulling off hopsteps with the right stick...haven't been able to do one yet...

the shot blocking is starting to feel a bit off to me...the responsiveness of the block button is a bit delayed at times...and the block animations that you get are kind of inconsisent...sometimes my player jumps, but most of the time he just puts a hand up...i don't seem to be able to control how aggressively i contest the shot...a lot of times i time my block perfectly, but rather than jumping and really trying to contest, my guy just puts up a weak hand and doesn't leave his feet...this makes it almost impossible to contest fadeaways and drifters because you can't make your man leave his feet and go after the shot. i feel like if i press block, my player should jump every time...if i just want to put a hand up, i would've used the auto contest with the right stick.

also, there is a weird hitch to the block animations sometimes, like if i press the block button a bit early, my player will start to put a hand up like he's starting to jump, but then he'll hesitate and wait for the shooter to go up and then put his hand up a second time...this feels canned, like the game is controlling my player for me in order to make my player time his animation better...but i'd rather have full control of my player..i'd rather my player just go into the animation when i hit the button and deal with the consequences...it feels like the game is babying me and saying "no you didn't want to block just yet, so we'll freeze your player and we'll make him animate when we think he should."

but, it's too early to tell if there's really an issue, or i just haven't figured out the controls yet.

I just can't get use to the camera angle. That's why I stop playing. I was never really good playing in the boardcast veiw. But I love the little improvements on the screen. The post game is so amazing. Can't wait to get my hands on the retail.
