Does anyone else notice some flaws in the player tendencies?

Lebron and Wade aren't attacking the rim enough and passing out of too many open drives.

I know this is an easy fix but anybody else notice this?

I think it's because it's on Pro. The CPU is always a lot more aggressive on higher difficulty levels in NBA 2K games.

Kind of worried.

1. Can be easily fixed by changing your defensive settings to "play tight" on ball and "deny ball" off-ball. This can only be done in the full game, however.

2. There's never any CPU defense on Pro, unless you do some serious slider tweaking.

P.S.: Sorry about the double post. It's late, I'm tired and I forgot to multi-quote. I had better go to sleep, but the demo is keeping me up.

OK, how are you playing defense then? What buttons are you pressing? Do you use left trigger? Right trigger? Both? I know all about angles as I am a basketball coach for over 10 years. I understand the game and I cut off angles. Maybe I just suck at D and need more work... Last year I liked the on ball defense personally. I know alot of people didnt like the bumping though. I think when you have a game with so many offensive moves defense needs to be a little amped up IMO to balance it out. I prefer defensive struggles than an aba shootout...

It just seems like my user controlled defender is super slow in a defensive stance but when I use the R trigger with the Left im too fast and skate by the guy. The defenders feel like they are on ice at times. Feels weird and not right.

It's called difference of opinion. One man's garbage is another man's treasure....and vice versa.

Some of you guys take "gaming" way too seriously.
No, the reason I answered that way is because there were no reasons given as to why he heated it. If you're going to post you don't like something, that's fine. At least explain why... So, my comment about nothing to see here was true, since there was no information given as to why he HATED it.

why? because the there's no plays in the demo. they could of at least give us plays. without plays the gameplay is wild and crazy. i,m still gonna buy the game though. im not a troll i just speak my mine the game is looking over hype. the 2k11 graphics look better in my eye's.

FINALLY got a chance to play this...I stayed up til' 5:00 am to find out it was ONLY gonna be released to the Xbox Marketplace (not PS3) ...then I said, "forget it, I gotta get a lil' sleep before work"...

Anyway, my impressions so far are:

(and they may be repeated - as I'm not going to read all 80 pages, sorry)

Pros

- LOVE the cleanliness of the PS3 graphics - PS3 seemed to get some love
- DIRK....need I say more...they have his shot/maneurisms down
- computer (AI) seems to play more like a HUMAN...it's GREAT!
- the VARIOUS shot selections one player has...last year Paul Pierce had a "hidden" set-shot in certain situations and then his normal shot as well...I feel as though MORE players have this. (LeBron, Eddie House, etc....) It's something I'd like to have confirmed, but it looks great!

Cons

- the crowd...seems just as stale as years past.
(I mean, the chants are nice...but their reaction just seems stale)
- THIS IS ONLY A DEMO...I wanna play more...I'm sick of restarting!!!
- we probably won't see much REAL basketball this year, so the video game will have to do

* I know this is an early build, but it HAS to be darn close to the finished product; nevertheless, this demo SEALED any of my doubts on whether to pass this year and keep playing 2K11....I won't be able to even put 2K11 in my system this year after playing this...October can't come soon enough...thanks 2K!

Actually just coming to say I hate the demo and leave is a troll move, what did you hate would help chance that opinion, but the OP did not do that.

Dirk is life-like. Post moves feel natural and are easier to pull off. Everythings more fluid.

i've already deleted it...seen enough to whet my appetite, but don't really get much out of playing a VERY small sample of this game (that allows no real adjustments or ability to search things out). this game is solid, but no doubt we'll find some flaws as we go. i guess i'm in the minority and feel that 2k11 plays really, really well, and with the slider tweaks a number of the issues can be fixed (to a certain degree). nba 2k11 is still the greatest sports title i've played...

Now you're talking! I don't agree, but I won't argue your opinion. That's fair!

leaning one way while my defender goes the same direction then crossing him up doesn't work anymore..nice

Not a worry, this game looks like a winner

IMO it seems much more ALIVE than 11 if that makes sense

Tons of things to discover and the non 2 man animations make it more free feeling...

Dont let that stuff bother you... it only gets worse post release then they drop off...we know the cycle

# 778 Tommyklaid @ 09/21/11 03:34 AM
I'm also seeing better "collision detection" this year, and not as many "flashy" passes (especially on fast breaks) ... it's more sim and less NBA Jam....like it a lot!!!

The dunks seemed to have been toned down as I can't get up and into the lane as much this year - we tweaked the sliders sooo much last year to make that more realistic....

...I'm thinkin' these games are gettin' better and better 'outta-the-box' .

Mario Chalmers doesn't miss at all. What they do put his 3pt at 90?

would help if you put a hand in his face, he misses all the time. The game setting are on pro casual so most open shots with good releases will go in.
