One more thing I noticed. On the 360 version, during a whistle, a little crawl pops up in the corner with Lebron and Dirk and it says NBA 2K12 Coming October 5 but little Lebron and Dirk don't show up on the PS3 version. Maybe I'm missing something. Back to gaming.
No, same here. There is no LeBron and Nowitzki in this popup on PS3...

Guys, look at the description of this articles, right below the picture. They are already now that

"Free throw bug, after 3 second violation, is demo bug only."

It took me about 15 games, but I'm finally seeing how versatile the Y button is for the post game. After the auto-post-mess that was 2k10, this is just way more intuitive. Whether you have a dribble or have lost your dribble just press Y. Watch your player alternate between a face-up and back to the basket. What this has achieved in basketball terms is a complete pivot foot and opens up so many possibilities. You can use it after a rebound too. No more worries of a silly hopstep down low or ugly signature gather. Well done 2k.

LOL last 2 years I have to download the 360/ps3 version for the demo because they havent released it on pc yet. I wouldnt trust my word because I switch to PC since it started releasing on that platform. Take the word of someone who plays on PS3 solely, this might be normal.

PC version I usually mod to death but the ps3 is definitely missing something. That little animation that plays in the bottom left corner is missing. I know thats been said before but the game drops to less then 30fps when that little banner pops up.

I just feel bad for the ps3 users. I dont pay for online, but if you dont mind then I would go for the 360 version from my early impression. Nothing changed this year in the quality department. If your used to it and dont mind then pick up the ps3 version.

With that said, the game is a step up from 2k11. Im loving all the contact animations downlow. Thats the only thing that was very important to me and everything else is icing on the cake. Last week was my last day playing 2k11 I just have to wait until it drops for pc. Cant wait to see what the modding community does with 2k12.

Speaking on the supposed PS3 graphical issues, I think this has to be by far the best looking version so far. I was specifically looking for the "jaggies" and they were hard to find. Not exactly sure what you guys are saying is missing.

Demo is ok. The colors seem to be much more vibrant this year. Can't really get a good feel for the game in 4 minute increments. Looking forward to Oct 4th.

pre-game is sick seems kinda bunched up during the gameplay with no options tryna find ways to cross guys up wit the Mavs cuz the guards arent as good as the miami guards.

I do feel like some of the new faces are inconsistent in quality compared to last year:

Lebron looks a bit worse. His face seems strangely light in front-- it's as if they used a front-lit source photo and didn't adjust it to match the rest of the head. You see this with Ray Allen and a few other players as well. He's got this "mask" that just looks odd. In Allen's case, it's even apparent when zoomed out in gameplay.

Wade looks a bit worse as well-- both players' faces seem smoother and more simplistic and Wade looks baby faced and chubby when he looked excellent last year.

Bosh looks-- different. I like the new amount of detail but he looks off/odd sometimes.

Caron looks different but either the same or better.

Tyson Chandler looks better.

Kidd looks a bit better-- I can't tell if it was last year's head but it feels better. I also noticed that he seemed to have more "soul" when shooting free throws. Maybe because of how the eyes were rendered or animated.

Dirk looks better but something is off about his eyes.

Yeah, I'm not sure any 2k has ever really mastered the big man dunks. I mean, they've gotten guys like LeBron and Wade right in more recent years, but I feel like 2k hasn't been able to find the balance between completely unrealistic looking power dunks and the way that some big men can throw it down in real life.

I'm frustrated bc I can't get into even trying to learn post moves since I know I'm gonna play on 2K cam as soon as I get the game. That's why people are a bit frustrated w/ the lack of options in the demo, something as simple as camera option isn't that much to ask. Not mad...just disappointed.

The jaggies aren't an issue this for. It's missing camera men on teh baseline and Lebron and Dirk missing from the "Upcoming" Pop-Up that comes up after a whistle.

I played this demo thinking how much Derrick Rose is gonna benefit from this new collision system. I'm pulling of Rose-esque lay-ups with the crypt-keeper Kidd, just think of the damage D. Rose will do.

Can anyone tell me how to shimmy and shake in the post? The same way I did it in 2k11 for all kinds of hesitations and fakes isn't working with Dirk engaged in a post up.. he does basically the same up and under turn around move over and over again

# 554 pumpedfor2k12 @ 09/20/11 08:10 PM
i'm crossing people up and getting wicked drives with j kidd. rondo and rose will be amazing. the cpu keeps doing these weird one handed ball fakes. i am still trying to master the shot stick!

Any step in the positive direction is a great move. This really feels like a highly refined 2k11.. Like a game you'd play in December with slider v. 5.5.

+I timed a rebound off a missed FT badly with Chandler. He couldnt really catch it and it went OOB.

+I'm seeing quite a bit of organic feeling live ball physics. One instance was a steal that happened with my own CPU teammates. They didn't warp to the ball or anything. In fact, it bounced off of 4-5 other guys

+Blocks are great. I saw a block on both ends back to back.. I'm seeing more fouls and FTs than ever before on default settings.

I kind of fell out of the loop of playing or wanting to play 2k11, so all of this seems a bit fresh to me. I had played it enough to know there were things I hated about it. This time around it's a bit different

+I saw Lebron not get boxed out on a Wade three pt. attempt, and Lebron throws down a putback dunk.. On the other end, I see my CPU Chandler throw down a similar, albeit less powerful putback just 3 feet from the basket. Lebron's was a solid 6 foot gather.

+I got dunked on by Wade. He dunked on about 4 Mav players.. This shows me that help defense is greatly improved

+CPU passing makes sense this year. In years past we have seen the lead pass where they make a Magic Johnson-esque pass to the "open" man.. Here they are just making normal type of NBA passes.. "Hey im not open. Ill pass it around"

+CPU teammate Jason Kidd almost gets dunked on by Lebron. He tries to wrap him up. Collison detection comes into play about halfway up for Lebron as he goes from DUNK animation to bumped layup. Lebron gets the layup and the foul... It happens again but this time its Dirk who bumps him. He's not successful with the layup.. HEIGHT, WEIGHT, and possibly strength may play into the collisons and the success of the shot attempt.

+Just had an and1 layup with Kidd. Chandler walks up to me and brushes me off and pretends to take a photo of Kidd. Nice interactions there. (mightve been in 2k11)

I probably said it last year that I didnt play enough 2k10 to grow tired of it and know every single quirk. The same applies for 2k11. This 2k12 seems a bit like a new experience

i have a couple questions, does the xbox 360 version have just one quarter of play,no anouncing, no time outs and no plays to call? i only have a ps3 so i only have only the ps3 version of the demo obviously lol. i noticed that there are some ps3 gamers on here saying the demo is taking awhile to download, i didnt have a problem with an accesive download time and i have a wireless connection for my ps3.

# 559 Knickerbocker @ 09/20/11 08:15 PM
Love the post game. And the steals are fantastic this time around if the ballhandler is not carefull he will be striped in no time.

I have a question though. Does anyone know how to do a fake in the post without losing the pivot? It seems to me that once you do it its over. Also now that the triangle button has a different function how does one do the fake to spin move in the post?

Just pre-ordered after playing the demo. I was going to buy the game anyway but this sealed the deal!
