Only thing I'm really having a tough time with is the shimmy. I tried to shimmy left then right, then go back left for the fadeaway with Dirk and he shimmied left, then pump faked and did a step through jumper off the glass.... strange. Guess I moved the sticks to quick or something?

A couple gripes:

1. Help defense is abysmal
2. It seems kinda hard to get it to do a up and under instead of a pumpfake and then jumpshot
3. It looks like the "wrap up foul" thing just simply doesn't work. My guys just go running around hugging the air

Lead passing has been fixed greatly. It 'feel' right versus 2k11 which had the disjointed speed burst no matter what direction the player was going you could 'make' him go somewhere else even if he was going the other direction. Now lead passing is momentum based meaning if the player you are passing to isn't going that direction or just walking that direction you will see no benefit from a lead pass only if the player is jogging or running in that direction does it really benefit you. Just like it should be. Also screen animation is much better and more realistic and less drawn out and over exaggerated which usually left a defender too wide open because of it.

The worst parts of the demo lie in the fact that it is only a demo (short, no commentary, can only play as one team, no play calling). I almost want to let miami fastbreak on turnovers just to watch how good the fastbreak is this year lol.

One problem I just encountered, and I dont know if this happened to anyone else, was that I defense 3-seconds was called against miami and when I went to the free-throw line i couldn't do anything. Could not shoot or call a time out and I was forced to restart the demo. I heard this was an old build so hopefully this will be fixed if not it is something that 2k should take note of. I would hate to see this ruin some games online, in association, etc.

Lol at the "all the people" comment when no one thinks or said that.

But you should expect a $60 basketball game to have more than one four minute period--that is if your over, I don't know, 5 years old.

It's just a demo guys. Keep the impressions rolling.

I'm loving the lack of canimations. They're almost nonexistent.

The mark of a amazing game:

People aren't complaining about the gameplay or the graphics. Not that the game isn't any good. They are seriously complaining that its not enough of the full game?

They aren't supposed to give you the full game.

1. Does it show that the graphics are on point? Check.
2. Does it show that the gameplay is improved? Check.

Isn't that the point of a demo(nstration)? The fact that you guys are clamoring for more only proves that 2k made the right decision in releasing a bare bones demo.

Thats lame

A demo is a demo, nobody said give us the entire game.

Like I said, its the work of the devs and engineers that makes this experience great, not the fact that their work was cut into pieces

Eh, I think there's some issues with the gameplay (you can check on the page before to see), but I would think it's fixable with sliders (besides the hard foul one).

While you're partially right, I think more frustration comes in when you see other games give fuller demos. And people had the same complaints about the 2K11 demo. One of my complaints w/ the FIFA demo is that it's too short, so 2K is not alone in this area. People are going to always want more, to get a truer feel of the game. Hard to get that in short 4 min spurts TBH.

To me its like when I was a kid and my grandma used to cook in the kitchen for Thanksgiving and I'd beg her to give me some her homemade dressing. It was already done, on the stove, covered in foil, making the entire house smell AWESOME. When I asked her for some, she didn't give me a plate, she'd give me a spoon full and say:

"That's it. We are eating at 4 and not a moment sooner, Landy."

That spoonful is the 2k demo.

Don't worry kids, the entire Thanksgiving dinner will be ready on Oct. 4th. Have some patience, the anticipation always made Thanksgiving dinner that much better.

I'm a little surprised there's been no mention of the inclusion of "standing" alley-oops. Maybe it hasn't been tried yet since it never existed? Toss one to Chandler if he's wide open under or near the rim. Most times you'll get a nice standing dunk or layup.

Ifyour on this website you most likely have tried out the demoes of previous games. I dont even watch soccer but Ive played fifa's in the past and the demoes. Same with nhl. I just dont see where the level of dissapiontment is coming from.

I look at the 1.1 gb from the download and think to myself "If the retail version is six times better than this then i am satisfied". Thats how I look at all demoes. I may have lower standards or expectations than others but in my eyes I wont get dissapointed about a demo "not being complete enough".

Just my opinion though.

Whatever, you guys wouldn't be satisfied any other way. If it was 5 minutes, you'd ask for 10. If it was 4 teams you'd ask for 8. It won't ever be enough until the game is released.

Overall the demo is great the only thing i dont like is the rebounding. The rebounding still seems to be more about athletic abilities and not boxing out.

I also hope for gods sake that when you tip the ball up on a rebound they dont count as a rebound like they did in 2k11
