only thing that i would've liked added to this is how create-a-player has been improved and i would LOVE it if you could go in and edit current players (obviously not faces, but hair and facial hair, height, weight) nonetheless, great write-up.
Wow, great insight. this is one of my most favorite modes in 2k and im glad that they are making major changes this year for the better. hopefully they find a way to fix the cheesing online from 2k11 also. then that would make this mode a complete experience both on and offline.

Being someone who spent an absurd amount of time in 2k11 My Player, I almost shed a tear of joy and excitement after reading this.

anyway...this insight was ok...i wish they would've spent more time talking about the gameplay and AI improvements to my player, rather than all the cosmetic and superficial stuff like advertisements....i appreciate their attention to detail and all, but all i really want from my basketball games are good AI and good gameplay...the cosmetic and presentation aspects are just trivial fluff to me.

I hope that we can finally have My Players with good lineups and *gasp* waves....
Other than that, I PRAY TO GOD, that this time there is no difficulty setting,but instead EVERY PLAYER IN THE NBA PLAYS EXACTLY LIKE THEIR REAL LIFE COUNTERPART. No more Tony Parker doing postups on power forwards and coring just beucase I'm playing HOF.

I'm really liking the abilities set up and I know most people will only be interested in the offensive abilities/skills but I really hope there are special defensive abilities/skills... Blocking, Rebounding, Boxing Out. For Example Rebounding Ability would give you that edge when fighting for it, like Kevin Love you see yourself wrestling to grab the ball even if it means tipping it up in the air again and going for it again.
Everybody enjoys scoring points and making flashy plays but very few enjoy trying to shut people down and I feel there isn't enough attention put on defense.. hopefully some of you agree!!

I rarely see BBallers rocking the Biker Mustashe.
This all sounds AWESOME. Thanks 2K. I don't like running plays much so I'm glad it's optional. I may give it a shot though. Also I play more association than anything and think it is awesome how you got Stern and Adam Silvers voice into the game
Sounds like MP will be a lot of fun this year. Looking forward to diving into this mode.

I know what position I want to start off with and what team I want to go to(SAC as Combo PG). I will have to either play my a** off and ace interviews or flunk interviews and play badly to drop into 2nd round.
Alot if GREAT info, i like what they did with press conferences, it'd be cool if they put in "on court post game press conferences" too with the sideline reporters, with a lil timer so u have to think fast.
Also does any of this translate online, i'd love to play around the world and knockout against other online myplayers
