I would hope so. I find it weird that no reviewer has mentioned Training Camp as a new Mode or Feature. I would welcome a Control Insight with open arms.
Sounds like this mode would be more my type of hype. I seem to be amidst the minority who is not happy about the elimination of the Draft Combine, Summer League and Training Camp in My Player mode. I am more curious about that mode than anything else at this point. Funny how so many from a Sim community wanted many of the Sim aspects removed from My Player. It seems like the goal this year was to focus on experience as opposed to simulation in some ways. What I am excited about however is the create a legend mode. Probably gonna run with Kemba Walker on that one.
With the ability to sim through a good chunk of seasons now I hope we can't take our single-player My Players online. I hope they have created two versions, one online and the other offline. I want to play as many offline games of My Player as possible while also staying competitive in crew games. I could see a lot of players just simming through as many seasons as possible to get their players really dominant and then taking them online. That would ruin Crew games, in my opinion. Since Crew games weren't mentioned, I'm holding out hope this is what they're planning to do.
I like that Skill Points are harder to get and the fact that you have to pay for them. With the ability to buy other stuff, it makes choosing which thing is more important. Should I improve my ratings or abilities. Should I make donations or bowl with teammates to raise buzz? Should I buy Dunk/Layup packages?
Don't really like the idea of ONE game and interview determine where u go in the draft, a bit unrealistic.
Draft combine and Summer league were realistic stuffs, so probably shouldn't take them away. They should have just combine those with pre-draft interview.

I like that too but I fear most people will just spend everything on skills to improve their player quickly. I know I'm harping on Crew games but that's where I spent most of my online time. I would hate to see a repeat of 7-5 guys hopstepping into the lane and shooting stepback threes from all over the court.
I love what I read. I just hope all of this is strictly for offline and we will have a separate online character. I know it would be extra work for players, but i think that's the only fair way of keeping people from exploiting the great additions 2k had added.
I haven't touched "My Player" mode in any of the 2K games thus far, but that could definitely change after this insight.... All the innovation and cool things that they've poured into this mode, I think it'll be a disservice to myself if I didn't try it out.

At this point, this claim can be made in damn near every area of this series. Craziness......
This Insight not only makes me happy about 2k12 but 2k13 as well, first to be competitive EA will now be required to revolutionize sports gaming, and what has 2k held back waiting for EA to release another Basketball game, my imagination is running wild.
THIS is realistic. You are put into shoes of a college player who is having his last stand in college and being monitered in that game. Also interviews are also realistic because if you are SG Celtics will probably ask you if you are willing to fill R.Allens shoes one day, or if you are C and getting interviewed by Magic you should be questioned if you are ready to be role player... How would you feel if you would get drafted by Celtics/Bulls as PG? Now you can say to them - get the fu.ck off.
Pre-draft interview is realistic but not one rookie showcase.
Since we definitely won't have a whole college season to showcase,
i would much rather want more than one game to determine our stock.
no way it's realistic to just have one game to determine that.
what if someone has one bad game? so he doesn't deserves to be a 1st rounder?
think about it, if real life draft stock all depend on one game....
lets say John Wall played a bad game in this one rookie showcase game, he is gonna be a 2nd rounder?? no, so it's not realistic to have one game to have so much impact on where u go in the draft.
Neither is draft combine, but it is more realistic than one game.
also not sure why people don't like Summer league, that's what real rookies go through in real NBA. Also good way to warm you up.
