I hope that OS stands up to the EA devs that post here and make it be known that if all EA wants to do is what amounts to spamming of the boards to hype up EA's product to increase sales, but then disappear after the release when the customers and product need support that OS won't let them hype the product around here.

I swear if NCAA 13 came out only in Black & White you'd have people falling all over themselves to defend the "strategic vision".

"Oh man, stop complaining. This is great. Just like watching college football in 1960! You wanted atmosphere and now you're all complaining, some people are never happy. Best. Game. EVER."
The sad thing is it's the same people on every forum/thread who do it. I'd name off names if I could but who knows what kind of backlash that would stir up.

This patch needs to drop already.

i dont know if this means anything, but on the ncaa forums at easports.com
it says
The forums will experience approximately 30 minutes of downtime at 7 AM Pacific tomorrow morning (Sept. 8) to perform database maintenance.

About a week after the game released I tried to start an online dynasty and it crashed 3 times within about 10 minutes. I haven't turned the game on since.

I guess we're all just supposed to grin and bear it because "this is the process now.". Funny how people always railed on pc gaming because they needed patches all the time, glitchy, etc. Having to deal with this stuff in the controlled world of consoles is a hell of a lot worse.

And apparently your comprehension skills are far below everyone else on this board. If you go back and read my post, I mentioned the thread that someone started saying that EA told him the patch/blanket/quilt/tent/canopy/ would release on 7 September and that if this was not true, someone from EA should come on here and tell us that.

Them saying the patch was sent for certification does not tell anyone that 7 September is or isn't true.

I can't type this out any more slowly to make it easier for you to understand.

Go back to Spring... how many times were EA people here, promoting the game, asking us where the bands sit in the stands, etc.

And since 12 July, how many have made themselves available here?

To make this easy for you... if I were running a company, and someone posted that an employee of my company told them that something would be out on 7 September and I knew this to be wrong, I would be the first person to respond and say, 'This is false.'

Instead... we get nothing. Just as I stated. And the community, all 2%+- of us, have been led to believe that today was the day the patch would drop. Yet... they did NOTHING to stop that.

Sorry if you cannot comprehend this simple issue.

I can't blame them for not making themselves available the state of the game and lack of fix for this significant amount of time is embarrassing. But at the same time some people here are crazy and angry so even if they came into this topic there would be countless people insulting them and such it would accomplish nothing at this point. I do think they could address fans more via there social channels (fb twitter) I mean we have yet to get an updated patch notes list on what was submitted.

Pick any page or two of this 70+ page topic and read it, there's very little for a developer (or anyone from EA for that matter) to need to keep up with. I have a 9 week old son at home, what I've read is not unlike his crying for food, and as soon as that bottle is in his mouth all is right in the world.

I guess we should all post random incorrect things since there is apparently the expectation that EA will chime in to correct you.

Okay... we have lack of comprehension skills and now you have proven that your memory isn't very good either... I will cut you some slack since you have a 9-week old. Congrats on the newborn, by the way. Back to the point... someone posted a new thread that said something like: Patch To Drop September 7

I think he originally typed November 7 but a mod changed it to September.

So no, EA would not have had to scour through X number of pages to find this little nugget... it was an entirely new thread that was on page one for a number of days.

And it would have been so very easy to post in there immediately and say, "This is false." But they didn't.

We are consumer of a product, a very bad product from a company that makes millions off of us we have every right to be pissed off and for most people sounding off in forums is the best way to do it. Not to mention it is one of the most effective ways, If I just stumbled onto this page when I was considering buying NCAA 12, I might have saved myself $60, Of course then I wouldn't have that nifty coaster with a picture of Mark Ingram on the front of it.
As you illustrated, metaphors only go so far before they're ridiculous. I am all for being upset, I only object to the gross over exaggerations such as your coaster example. If I stumbled into this thread I'd have to poke around and to find one that had actual information in it to see if it would affect me, there's little to help guide a purchase decision here.

I for one did not take your analogy too far, but you left yourself wide open lol, but with that said I do stand on your side of the fence. However It's getting to the point where it just makes no sense buying these games at launch. In this case even waiting almost two months after release would be a bad move for the avg consumer. We're not talking about field texture issues or gray sleeves or silly problems from past games. We are talking about a freeze bug that kills dynasties faster than the SMU death penalty. Totally unacceptable and for the record I have been very patient and understanding. The gameplay is great and I love the new tackling system, but how many Play Now games can I take before I get bored? Some ppl just got to that point much sooner than I did, so I understand their frustration.

Some time in late July 2012, this will be the announcement, "We are working on a second patch for NCAA Football 13. We can't say with any specificity when it will be released. After the patch passes through Sony/Microsoft certification and is uploaded, we will put out a list of what was patched and tuned."

No matter how much crying there is message boards, it would be foolish them to say anything else but this.

Hopefully anyone expecting a policy of Glasnost, will have refrained from purchasing the game at that point.

# 692 mcavner @ 09/07/11 09:34 PM
EA does say that, "Our mission is to deliver the world's best customer experience for the world's best games."

If you're going to say that, people are going to expect... something.

Anyone else losing interest in NCAA due to the patch delay and Madden being out?

I'm losing interest in buying madden due to the patch delay and NCAA being out.

Does that count?

If anything reading more and more about NBA 2K12 is draining my interest in both games that and waiting for this patch and there not even being any patch talk for Madden yet so gotta wait for that too.

# 696 Pizzaguylol @ 09/07/11 09:46 PM
Screw waiting for this game anymore. Its just not even worth it at this point.

Losing interest in NCAA? To a degree yes.

Because of Madden? No. From what I've heard, that game is just as buggy.

Nice to know they had the time to update the ESPNU Game of the Week Challenge.

Because people overestimate what these boards do. Honestly your going to see the devs around here around February until about June, then the week of the release then they won't be back. Not to mention, people forget EA devs are working. When they have a flame on their *** are they going to be going on message boards when their bosses could very easily be pushing through that they NEED to complete the patch, or section and have it out?

And at the other poster:
Also EA said they were aiming at a release at the end of August, obviously those words ended up biting Haumiller in his ***.
