sorry folks, but super linebackers are back. twice in a row, urlacher jumped to the point that his waist line was equal to that of the heads of the players around him. so it should be clear at this point that this is a problem that ea just doesn't see fit to address. it amazes me, that at no point during their year of development did someone see an occurrence of this and say, "hey guys, that doesn't look true to the game." how a company can devise the motto "true to the game" yet let something this ridiculous slip through the cracks is just funny at this point. so besides my enjoyment of the demo, i will be skipping the game due to this cheap and frustrating mechanic.

on a positive note, i didn't notice any issues with psychic DBs. that doesn't mean they aren't there, though. but from the plays i went into replay with, the DB play seemed pretty solid. they don't mirror routes anymore and i had one instance of a safety overrunning the landing zone of the ball allowing jennings to make the reception. and of course, jennings put the team on his back. lol.

I will post more immpressions later as i play more games. So far though this is the year for MADDEN
OK I'm not trying to be a dick or have any kind of agenda or anything, I'm just looking for an honest answer. Why is it that people can say this is the best Madden ever before playing the full game and catch no flack for it, but the second someone says they won't be buying the full game because of the demo, they get hit with "dude it's just a demo calm down" or "dude's saying he won't like the full game before playing it. SMH"?

To me gameplay wise this is still the Madden we either love or dislike. I believe the tuning and adjustments to gameplay overall are a significant enough to consider purchasing Madden 12.

On top of everything Madden 12 really nailed the pacing this year. From play to play the game just transitions beautifully. In the years past I thought the game always moved in hyper speed from play to play. This year it just feels right how from camera cuts, quarter changes, replays, etc; it just feels good.

Did anyone feel this way?

Well i was checking out the passing and only ran a couple times, he also completed to long bombs to hester and knox and that was a lot of it.

It doesn't feel wrong, it is how Madden has always been. 5-7 min quarters have always given decent stats for offense and defense on the default settings.

Anyone with the demo...can you play the demo in the broadcast cam? Actually play it...much thanks.

I played a couple more games, and I am really really impressed with the demo....teh dpp is an absolute game changer. PLaying against cutler I picked him 3 times in the first quarter nd he was a mess the rest of the game. PLaying as cutler he tooka couple sacks and I had to rely on forte and my running game, but he made a crucial deep pass to aromashadu to win the game 12-7(went for 2 and missed) but having your guy go south is a nightmare and really makes you think your way through the game

DB AI isn't very good. I'm up 7-0 with GB in the 4th quarter, messing around i was lobbing wounded ducks in the air with Rodgers, 3 times the Chicago DB volleyball spiked the ball to the ground instead of going for the easy interception. Not a game killer by any means just one of my gripes at this moment.

Really, only 6 posts before you made your post and your complaining about someone having an opinion.

To me, it works both ways, it's just opinions and it's subjective.

Let's put it this way, 85% of this thread has been positive towards the demo. Maybe 5 to 10% are in the middle. Society tends to dig a bit deeper if you are in the minority opinion wise.

That's my take, don't know if I'm right or wrong, just my opinion.

That's not the point, the point is Cutler did really good and the DPP didn't recognize it, besides, I was playing on pro.

This is just a demo. You will be able to adjust the time in the full game. LOL!

Everything in the Madden 12 demo looks good…..

except for the player models. Too fat and cartoon-looking. Player models look out of place when compared to the other visual upgrades done to this game. For the first time, the player models of NCAA Football 12 look better (more defined, taller, and more slender) then the ones in Madden 12.

I wasn't complaining about anything. It's just something I see and I always wondered why people reply to negativity that way but extreme positivity gets a different response. I don't have a problem with anyone's opinion, and I wasn't trying to start a fight or anything. Just being curious.

It appears to me that the broadcast cam looks better on NCAA

I enjoyed the Demo more than I enjoyed the Madden 11 demo and I ended up liking Madden 11.

The demo was really fun, defense for first time in a while felt fun.
I'm not sure if its because of all the new tackle animations, or the improvements in zone defense, or the better pass rush and the ability to now be able to sack the computer QB.

Running game also felt a lot better also, and passing is a lot harder to do this year with the improved zone defense.

Things I didn't like though were, some of the player faces are still off. And a lot look the same as last year.
They need to redo the fields next year, the blotchy spotty look is really ugly and stands out imo more this year.
The colors for the jerseys and the player models are spot on, but the Field kills the beauty of the graphics imo.

I thoroughly enjoyed the demo. No second thoughts about this one, day-one buy for me.

Pros:
  • Visuals are amazing. Field/Stadium looks great & players look great.
  • Improved presentation. Player reaction, and all the presentation before/after a snap is well improved.
  • New tackling system actually works, for the most part.
  • Zone coverage is improved!
  • Blitz moves actually work, you can finally do a BULL RUSH!
  • New kick meter.
  • Sideline catches are much improved. So many times last year your RB would be doing a little route, catch it, and his momentum would run him out of bounds - hasn't happened to me yet. WRs don't try to do the "tippy-toe" catch unless they need to.
  • New camera angles look more realistic, IMO.
Cons:
  • QBs are way to fast. Cutler and Rodgers can easily pickup yards, imagine what Vick will be able to do...
  • QBs also step up in the pocket to quick. They'll cover up and run with ANY pressure on them.
  • LBs jump a million feet in the air to swat passes, very unrealistic.
  • RBs "special" moves, don't seem to work. Forte & Grant got gobbled up everytime I tried a spin or juke... although they're not the best spinners or jukers.
  • Fans/sideline players look awful, not a big thing, but would be nice to put a little more detail in them.
  • Annoying noises everytime you hit RT to view your play. Makes an "umph" sound, I heard it 1000 times in a game, got annoying.
  • Halftime show/endgame show was pretty bad. Although I never watch it anyways, so no big deal for me.
Easily a day one buy for me.

Chicago's field was intentionally made blotchy because that's how it is in real life.
