Since I never play against the CPU except maybe a 3x a year in My online dynasty my complaints are usually geared towards zone/man coverage, presentation, equipment and online dynasty.
Pros
-more variety of helmets give players unique feel
-lots of new tackling animations (consecutive hits will be a huge difference
-grass tearing up when cutting
-momentum after catching passes
-less suction means squeezing through smaller holes w/ RBs
-Heard Lee Corso some haha (I think he is funny)
-lighting
-spin move effectiveness reduced
-zone improved
-more running styles
-new hurdle animations
-celebrating players cut scene & real time
Cons
-long Dreads on random players
-No where near enough stat overlays
-playcall screen was changed
I know EA has Oakley sponsorship in the game but Ea did you really have to put this in the game
Huh. On my 50 inch DLP with HDMI cable it looks gorgeous to me.
Anytime someone says this you have to assume its the PS3 version man. It really is a big difference. I switch over from input 1 to input 2 on my screen and compare them right next to each other and the 360 is miles ahead
I hate how people play the demo once and make assumstions for the game
How is that unfair? The demo is supposed to be the polished product, the last pre-release marketing gem. The producers need to have the game in great shape when they release the demo, because first impressions are critical. Is the gamer supposed to spend multiple hours giving a second and third chance to an obviously still-flawed product?
What kind of inefficient supply and demand model would arise if consumers gave second and third chances to all the products they didn't like??
First game I played with Oregon. I win 20-7.
-I had at least 6 sacks and 2 picks as well as a defensive touchdown.
-Game does not look good. 2011 looks better.
-Texas QB made several terrible throws. I mean way out of bounds.
Second game I played as FSU. I win 17-14 in OT. Richardson broke a 98 yard TD run. I had two guys completely whiff on the play.
-No sacks for me, but they got at least 3. I had at least 4 picks and another defensive touchdown. I played mostly man coverage.
-Manuel, FSU QB, could not throw on the run or if outside of the pocket.
-The game still does not look good!
-I noticed in this game that the D-line seems to move a little slow.
-Impossible to run the option. I did like that I could not pitch the ball once I was being engaged in a tackle. I will say I have not tried to run the zone read yet.
Whether it does or not is one thing. Saying it looks like a PS2 game is pure hyperbole. It certainly does not help you in the credibility dept.
I think people need to rephrase this observation. It looks like crap compared to the 360 version. This is fact, I tried to upload screen caps from both of them on my TV but my computer froze, I am sure someone will post comparisons eventually, and its clear as day, in the demo at least, that the 360 is ahead graphically.
However, it still looks good on the PS3. A little rough but not terrible

Id like to hear more people give impressions of playing with and against Oregon on heisman.
I love it.
The offense on heisman with Oregon feels brand new to me. By far best part of the demo for me. I busted two long read option plays, guys blocked it perfectly.
Playing against Oregon I had them bust me up with a speed option. I think heisman is going to be the way to go this year for sliders if they figure out how to let the CPU scramble on it

I fully agree that, graphically, the PS3 demo is only on par with NCAA 11, might look a notch worse.

Haven't played against them yet, but I agree that playing with them is a lot of fun. It feels very rewarding reading the free defender and making the right call. It's making me question the offense I was planning to run in my dynasty right now.
As for the PS3 graphics.. honestly I wouldn't have paid attention if not reading it on here first. Yeah it's a little rough around the edges, but it still looks pretty great. Weren't there concerns about the PS3 graphics from last year's demo, too? Or am I misremembering?

Thats a fair point. Last year the demo was a little softer on the PS3 and had real brightness issues (wasnt bright enough) in the day games. It looked better upon release.
My concern is the jagginess, it just looks low-res to me. But, its a demo, we will see

I really didnt notice either. You think it could be peoples PS3 setups? or their TV's?

Who knows. My TV automatically puts the game in 720p I believe, so maybe that's why it doesn't look as bad as others?
Like I said, if I hadn't read it here, I would've never noticed any of it. As it turns out, I found myself actively looking for what people were talking about. I've never been a huge graphics nut, and I've been blown away by pretty much every game I've ever played on my PS3 since I got an HDTV

Just played a Heisman game with me being Oregon and late in the game I busted a 40 yarder with LMJ down to the 3 yd line and on the next play I ran it in with him. Then on the next drive I got the ball back by an INT and Darron Thomas broke a read option 22 yards to the house. Both looked and felt great.
Now my only gripes with the demo (which I am positive most are going to be fixed with the retail version) are:
1. I am seeing what everyone is talking about with the cpu qb (I really only see it with texas' qb) is him a. not scrambling and b. throwing the ball out of bounds into the 6th row a few times a game. I am sure those 2 things are fixed in the final game.
2. In the game I was talking about above, the texas qb threw deep a good 8 or 9 out of 15 passes. IDK whats up with that but its only 1 game so I am not saying its a problem yet.
3. Kick/Punt Returns. The coverage teams all stay in the middle of the field and on punt returns your blockers wait like 2 yards infront of you for you to catch the ball to start blocking, which in turn gives me no room/time to run. Every return is the same. They need to stay in their lanes in order to get better and more varied returns.
4. Player Movement. Sometimes when I change direction with the left stick the player kind of just floats over into position. Hard to explain but its like the runner has his knees slightly bent and instead of cutting, he just stays in that "knees bent" position and "shifts" to his new spot. Weird looking.
5. Last but not least..THE GRASS! Call me a nitpicker, I dont care, it looks bad. Go look at Backbreakers grass and that is what a field should look like. No black spots everywhere just green grass. Turf fields are different they are supposed to have black in them because of the rubber pellots but I believe Madden does a better job at this than NCAA (for turf). It has become a distraction for me to look at the grass which is a shame.

Ive only played 2 games and i didnt notice it either. Im like you , not a big graphics guy.
