Well I can already tell I'm not going to be playing on Heisman without some slider tweaks. Too many big plays for TDs. Both for the CPU and for myself.
Well, hopefully there is a very slow speed in the retail version because the game is to fast for my eyes. Game definitely has improved from last year graphically, I do like the ESPN overlays and 3d grass and know how hard it is to replicate grass in a 3d environment so I have to give EA serious credit for that.
Unfortunately that's where the good ends for me other then the tackling which does feel a lot better (no suction, yay!). The player movement is really bad and maybe that is because it seems really sped up to me but the sliding and turning on a dime has got to go.
I truly hope next year momentum is put in because this game desperately needs it. I don't want to call it an arcade game like some people are because this is very much a simulation but the movement, to me at least, feels like an arcade game. It's a shame because they did get a lot right this year.
I liked '11' and again '12' is a good step forward but I really hope they introduce better movement/momentum next year. I have faith, or at least I am going to keep telling myself that! Going to go play a few more games to see if I can get my eyes to sync up with the on screen action....
3d grass ...only in cut-scenes. fail. only played one game so far, but that was noticeable from the first snap. why advertise something that you rarely see?
Exactly when else could you even see grass? Considering the angle you play the game from, it would be impossible to see anyway.
Hmmm, I accidentally pitched the ball so it was a fumble. My wide receiver, who wasn't down, touched the ball and they blew it dead. I could have sworn that you can pick it up and run with it, or is this something I missed?
It is awesome to look at. the Atmosphere is great! jeresy's on fans, the intro for Flordia State is impressive! I liked the cut from showing the chief waiting for the que to gallop out to the middle of the field to spear! nice! creates anticipation.
Game Track is a good idea. I like the initially commentary i am getting. This is the demo but it seems pretty good so far! B+.
The 3D grass is awesome. I almost could almost smell the grass it was so nice . . . . oh wait i forgot I had the window open and the grass was just cut, but yeah!
zone coverage is awesome! I felt like the AI had gotten a bit upgrade! I could tell, i had to respect the AI quite a bit more. I didn't do screen passes, so i can't speak to that.
the MOST impressive feature is the NO SUCTION! simply AMAZING! for years we the fans have asked nice, asked with annoyance, frustration, and with the thought perhaps it was impossible, but no, it isn't, EA has done it! no suction! it felt so nice! It now demands a lot more for the player to be precise. I felt like I had to look ahead when running quite a bit more and sharp reactions had to be depended on more!
all in all A great Demo! Looking so forward to the preorder I have for this!
is the standard camera angle closer this time around?
I honestly don't know, is it supposed be closer than NCAA 11 or something? I would have to back and play NCAA 11 again to see where the camera is since it has been so long since I played it.

The offense can't advance the ball if it recovers its own fumble on fourth down, or in the last two minutes of the game, unless the ball is recovered by the guy who fumbled it.
I seen the super LB jump once on Heisman. It was #11 on FSU. He had both hands on the ball but yet dropped the interception.
Over all on Heisman DB swat the pass way too much even when aren't facing it. And the ball gets knocked far some times, like 10 yards away like a volley ball.
why are people saying that a play they keep getting sacks on are a bad thing?
Sacks are bad now?
it's not so much the stats, just the way we're getting them. when the qb holds the ball for 10 seconds and literally just stands there then it's a problem. though i will say after my first game it hasn't been as prevalent. but it's kind of like ea is sacrificing actual line development and substituting it with stupid qbs.

i've seen it several times on aa and it's probably my main gripe with the game.
and those saying the ps3 version looks worse, how so? it looks fine on my hd television, but i've nothing to compare it to. i'm not complaining about how the game looks...just how some of it is played. so far i'd rate this demo a B-.
I can't wait for the retail version. I had quite a few awesome CPU QB scrambles and double hit tackles that left the player looking like his back should have been broken after that.
3D grass?? does it show during game play or only in cut scenes and instant replay?.... If they advertised 3D grass and they're isn't really 3D grass...thats sad.
It really isn't possible to even see the grass from the gameplay camera. It's much too far back. Had they made it noticeable from the gameplay camera it'd be knee high.
On what difficulty? I envy you guys that can score at will. Man oh man I suk!
I really don't. I'm having great games on AA. In my three games (all Bama (me) vs. FSU) I've lost 6-3, lost 14-0 and won 10-0. I think if I were putting up 35 ppg as some people claim, I wouldn't like it either. Luckily I'm not that great or I don't play at a fast enough tempo. With a few changes and a slider tweak here and there the retail version could be really, really good.
Another thing that I noticed was that the CPU won the coin toss and actually deferred.
