On one hand, it would be cool to bring your favorite plays and formations online and compete vs others in your online chise.

On the other hand, I don't feel like defending the same 5 or 6 money plays from the different playbooks all game long...

Strictly talking online franchise, I think the best thing for them to do would be to have an on/off option for Custom Playbooks.

Hopefully they plan to tease us again in mid Apr with another quik vid.

Looking at the pic I take it the Jets will finally have a throwing play in the wildcat, Brad Smith better have his own Wildcat plays(option run) as well. Though it doesn't mean much with custom playbooks and all.

which 2K football game had it?

I know a couple games ( 2K, TSB) that have done that already. I guess better late than never.

-Don't care:
Madden Ultimate Team

- Excited if true:
Spectator Mode. That would be nice. Especially if one can set camera to broadcast mode.
Classic players. Only if you can wear the uniform like they did back in the day. No sense in watching Walter Payton play in some modern Nike Sharks. Pony or Roos.

But Madden had it in the past. It was due to the increase in framerate in 08 is when they took it out for obvious reasons. Glad they're able to bring it back now, and not as exaggerated as it was back in Madden 07/08. That field needed some lawn mower love.

How about another hint please? I said Please!! haha. Hmmm, I think you might be making this up, so we keep guessing which is pretty good marketing by you. I will say I am glad game play is one of the first blogs, so we can see immediately the potential of this game.

1. Possibly they are joining the rest of society with hot/cold live player streaks
2. They are joining 2k in the tendencies section of a player so when you play a cpu every running back doesnt summon their inner Brandon Jacobs as you try to tackle them.
3. Possibly customized entrances for teams(Which would be cool cuz i didnt like Demeco Ryans doing the Ray Lewis Dance when I fantasy drafted as ravens)
4. The live scores of games in your offline(hopefully but would be to confusing online) franchise as games go on and take the 2k route to have commentary involved to talk about your team and their progression towards a possible postseason berth.

All i can say is after last seasons Madden was dethroned as the EA football king, the only way to go is up from there and take it back from NCAA who in their own is making advances to keep it.

I might be one of only a few, but I think we will be very pleased with franchise mode this year.

no...not in any way shape or form

on the broadcast note, the blimp cam "ticker" that comes up at the bottom looks similar to an nbc or cbs. if we look back to the initial onside kick video, the ticker is up the top of screen. who is the only station to have a ticker similar to that? #imjustsayin #youjudgeit

the onside video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyIUFlkWUeQ

Seriously. That Ncaa grass looks very unkept. I hope they have the right Turf for Indoor stadiums this year as well. I thought they had that in 10 but i was wrong. Way wrong. Even though I know it was specifically talked about. Ill say it again. If Madden used FIFAs version of grass that would be a huge upgrade.

"THey need to focus ONLY ON GAMEPLAY. WHat is wrong with them?!"

I cant wait for Madden.
Im not even a franchise guy, but I just like what I saw with the foot planting and supposed 3d grass.
To be fair (while ridiculous) , it just shows that this game has a long way to go to please people.

I disagree... the gameplay still needs work, but the presentation is killing it for me.

None of us can guarantee what 12 has in store for us, we can speculate all we want to.

As Adembroski said, they can't show game play now in it's current state or they would have nothing to show.

By the way, to answer your question about game play, I didn't see game play in a 35 second teaser video and wasn't expecting any.
People want all their concerns resolved in 35 seconds with a franchise that's been struggling for years.

Lol , yet SNES didn't have anything that makes people mad today.

I see something that looks like online spectating with the exception it's live score card type with chat ability, not like the MMA live spectate that they showed at E3 last year (wonder what happened to sharing in house resourses) 00:18

The Surprise onside kick looked to be on display.

not on my wish lists for madden next gen to present but I'm sure people are drooling.
Nobody said you'd be able to buy or sell playbooks. What would be the point, if all playbooks were programmed properly?

Not me. I consider them 2 different features, and have no desire to create plays. I just want to use plays/formations I like. Therefore your statement is wrong, as I am a person.

I'm not sure...my guess is with all the problems they have programming interactions , it will be only picking your arsenal of plays.

My replies being said, keep the 2k discussion out of the forum. Thanks.

Tomlinson pic looked like tendoncies which will be amazing if they work right.

Not sure what I feel about what looks like a Walter Peyton Ultimate Team card.

Did they steal the music from inception?

I'm curious as to what fan base has had the most influence if any what the designers saw as areas of concern. I know they have their own data, but something has to come from the fan base. Live spectating (online) of course the fans are promised franchise improvements but how deep does this go? Does it fix the create a player weakness, the roster limit, off season cpu moves, lack of proper player progression, pup list, working IR, practice squad.... I could go on for an hour about the details that are missing from franchise mode that I would bet my house couldn't have been addressed.

Do the real time physics and game play critiques get a nut by at least getting consecutive hit tackles?

Do the presentation aficionados get real time game day weather, and if not at least random weather so that when you start your franchise over every sunday it's not raining in week 5? Do dirty jerseys return from 09?

Did they get that line where Chris calls Gus Tom?

The teaser doesn't answer any of the questions or issues that I have been reading about from a lot of the forums I know it's early and you gotta wait but I'm expecting a minimal amount of improvements.

Yeah but the wow factor of that stuff is too late, these are things that should have been implemented years ago. After watching the teaser I was like (meh) also. I need to see more in the coming months to convince me to buy Madden again. Hopefully much improved gameplay, improved passing, improved presentation with a true halftime highlight show and highlights from around the league will get me excited.

I agree with the sentiment, but like a lot of things in life, if I can't control it, I can't worry about that stuff. If something happens that I don't like, I can't cry over spilled milk.

Not giving anyone a pass, just how I feel in life, in general.

This is a completely unfair and ridiculous standard by which to judge the merits of a video game. Who are you, myself, or any of us to decide what EA should have put into previous iterations of the game?

# 300 smokeyvol @ 03/24/11 11:14 AM
Will be another worthless Madden to me unless they have a TRUE (100% complete) online franchise.
