Didn't really like it. Actually thought it was dumb.

Wasn't that the same song they used for Crysis or another EA game?

I am cautiously optimistic at how the Dynamic Player ratings (hot/cold) will play out. I remember the thread that Lisa Bonami created about looking at the stats of an upcoming opponent in franchise and seeing a player on a hot streak, but it not being reflected when they play you. I think this is the type of thing that will make the game feel more organic.

I just hope it's nicely balanced.

Finally CPU Vick will not play just the same way as CPU Brady, CPU Asomugha will not play just like CPU Asante Samuel, CPU AP will not play like CPU CJ2K.

3d grass like in NCAA 12 maybe? Thats what I got from the tiny clip of the feet running. Maybe new stadium and crowd atmosphere and team specific entrances also?

Strangely enough the only turf that looked like real turf was in the bottom right of the screen. Everything else looked like the same odd looking field

Custom playbooks and tendencies are HUGE, so I'm really happy about that. That's something I and a ton of other people have wanted for awhile now.

Also, watching those 2 field goal clips, you can see the defense comes really close to blocking both kicks. Closer than I've probably ever seen the last few years unless it was some type of a glitch. I think they might have actually touched up the special teams for the first time in....ever?

Solid trailer IMO. It's made things pretty interesting to say the least.

Funny every1 else noticed grass. My 1st thought was finally they are wearing Nike cleats this year instead of those generic Reeboks. Or did they wear them in M11. I skipped it last year because Ncaa11 was the better game. Just as I skipped Ncaa10 and bought Madden 10 because it was better. Its a simple formula really, no need to complain. haha

edit: Just googled some pics guess they did have nikes in M11

The reason it hasn't been put in yet is because they also have a deal with NFL Network, so they'd be stepping on the other's toes I guess.

I could be wrong, but I think I see the ESPN banner that shows up at the bottom of the screen before games that shows the matchup, stadium, etc., in that shot of Heinz Field. It's a night game since you can see parking lot lights, maybe we have ESPN or MNF presentation in the game?

I know it's an incredibly simplistic view, but I don't see why they couldn't just add both. I mean, I know why they can't, but it would be cool if they could.

Its been awhile since I read this but I remember reading it somewhere. But that is indeed the reason.

Because Madden is NFL exclusive and the NFL has several TV partners, it would be frowned on by the others to have either as the one network used by the only NFL video game.

We have to remember they have deals with Fox, CBS, NBC, ESPN as well as NFL Network. So its more complicated than just having dual networks as DaveyJ suggested.

Good catch on that. I don't think it's an ESPN banner, but something definitely pops up; which would indicate it's a pre-game shot.

It'd be awesome if that happened. NCAA Basketball 10 had both CBS and ESPN graphics, IIRC.

I'd like it in too, or at least some real-life network. But really as long as the presentation/commentary is good enough then it wouldn't bother me if there were EA logos instead of an ESPN one or anything.

Kind of hard to judge, given the limited view, but it still seems as if the player models, lighting, and overall graphics are trailing NCAA, which I find odd given Madden's status as the "lead" title.

I just want to say good job on the teaser video EA. I love that we finally got Custom Playbooks. Looks like the gameplay is a little better. Can't tell much from this video. But it's a good start. I can't wait for the info to start flowing over the coming months.

Hard for me to get excited about things that have been in past football games. I can at least hope for proper gameplay. But based on past efforts from the Madden team I won't hold my breathe.
