I love this game, fighters have weight to them, punches have weight to them, the new punching system is perfect. It actually feels like im boxing now and everything is being respected. My front runner for sports title of the year depending on how well done some of the modes are. I think i'll be playing this game for a long time.

Well this squashes those debates about judges scoring being off because of "no draws online".

Thanks, that's a plus. I need to play the demo a little more and if its true that ratings impact the autoblock then that can make it a little more acceptable but ratings really have to make a major difference in blocking.

HOLY ****!!!! Just got my first 1 punch BODYSHOT KO! My Pacquiao NAILED Cotto with a power left hook to the liver and that was IT!

Paid off judges

We were told at community day that the judging will change so you never know what the judges are looking for. Some might want to see punch output, others might want to see clean punches landed, others might want to see ring control, and some might want to see total dominance. Basically you never know what the judges are looking for.

I had an Ali guy quit on me because i dropped him with my first left hook to the head counter in the 1st minute with Tyson.

Yeah this game is good, really good. Best boxing engine ever for sure with alot more room to improve.

It just sucks to have this game in the old Fight Night 4 package. This game have custom soundtracks?

looking forward to a tournament with adjusted sliders!!

I think the whole "counter punch" mentality needs to change. The game gives power bonuses for counter punches - but in reality they aren't really the punches that are the most devastating.

"beating someone to the punch" is the most damaging because often the boxer can't see it. If I throw a straight to your gloves and follow up with a powerful left hook, but you throw one also, but a fraction after I do, that's a good chance for a lights out moment.

Just because you miss while I weave, and I hit you while you're back in your set position, doesn't mean it should be extremely damaging.

While I'd like that changed, I'm liking the game and will pick it up on release
(huge deal because I traded in 4 very fast and hated it with a passion) FNC is WORLDS better.

Aiight. this game was obviously made for righties...damn it . I'm a south paw, & my punch configuration should be on the left stick. This sucks...anyone else havin' problems w/ this? My thumb dexterity is a little better on the left stick tho

Brizzo, is there a inverted config? thanks

I am sure this is a stupid question but how i do select the other boxers? I was doing exhibition and I only seemed to have Ali and Tyson? I am on the ps3. Thanks.

Just KO'd Cotto(I was Pacquiao) in an online bout. One really good left hook and he was done. Those moments are really fun. I never played FNR4 online. But I think I'll play a bunch with FNC. It's nice to get into a real fight with a real mind. Being strategical against a real fighter.

Has anyone gotten into a fight against a headbutter? Does that do a ton of damage? The guy started doing it out of nowhere and got like 3 good hits one me before he got a warning. Was pretty messed up because he got me two more times after that and NOTHING. No stoppage or anything. I was expecting a DQ. Then the guy spammed heavy hooks and dropped me. Worst fight I've had so far in this demo. I was caught totally off guard. He fought clean in the first, and dirty in the second. I was KO'd in RD 3.

Okay, the first thing I'm doing with the full version is up the stamina BIG TIME.

In my last fight against Ali he threw 284 JABS over 3 rounds.
He also threw 87 power punches.

My defense sucks so he connected a lot, but I still made him miss 38% of the time.
And yet, his stamina was 97% after 3 rounds. That's ridiculous.

And what I learned was that every punch I throw should be a power-shot. No sense in swinging for singles. Despite never laying off the right-bumper, my stamina never dropped below 94% after 3 rounds.

So I'm really hoping the sliders can have a great affect. I'd like to get it so that you actually pay for throwing too many powers shots or punches in general.

Agreed on the stamina. I don't understand why they chose to make it not nearly as effective as it sounded at Community Day, but hopefully it's one of the things they tune before the game is released.

And yes, I realize it's only 3 round fights, but when a guy is throwing 500 punches in those 3 rounds and barely showing any effects from that, there's an issue.
