I like it. Pass D is a bit better. Kick meter being too slow is my only gripe.

Maybe it was an online glitch, but I could not call a fair catch on a punt which I proceeded to fumble and cost me the game.

does anyone know if the patch "fixed" the fix for the strat pad... as is you still have to take your finger off the left stick and move it to the d pad in order to line move etc. and that was what the whole issue was about for me.... this is especially problematic for players who play both ncaa and madden.... for years theyve had the same controls... why change something that isnt broken.... the one thing most people ive talked to agree is the control scheme is the one thing theyve always got right... fix the F!@$#^* gameplay... why release madden 10 (also ncaa 11) controls if they dont work... all ea does is break promises made to the consumer... why release it if its broken... why put patches into microsoft a month before the game comes out... why not put what was broken into the game... and its going to stay like this as long as we (the gaming community) let it... after all we buy the games while they sit back and say.... SUCKERS!!!

If I download 1.03 will the updates apply for inprogress franchise? Or will I have to start my franchise over to notice the updates? Any help would be great. Thanks

any word as far as franchise weather - eg raining Week 1 in Jville or raining inside Cowboys Stadium?

i was hoping this would fall under the "various other fixes" category.

Ian Cummings in reply to kicking meter: "eek that got in?! That was just a server test for latency stuff...we can bring it back up asap. Thanks for pointing that out."

LOL...good to know that's going to be addressed. Since it's server related that probably means they can fix it on their end, without need of a patch.

One thing I really like: the supposed tuning down big plays (I'm a 360 user, so I don't have it yet). Big plays weren't killing this game, but they were contributing to obnoxious high scoring games.

But, the kickoff returns are disappointing. I managed to average about the 25 yard line on kickoff returns, and I returned one kickoff with Danny Amendola in 15 games on a Rams franchise. Not perfect, but if you add a couple yards to the average, then we're there.

But now, I can see me returning 10 kicks per season, and that alone is going to screw up the scores. It was hard enough to get a low scoring game with no INT returns and no KO TDs.

I can hit stick again, now wr's who come in the middle of the field will get lit up by safeties and lb's.

Just started my final new franchise, post patch. won three playing and simmed the fourth so Seahawks are 4 - 0. Stats, everything looks right but the Hawks aren't a high ranked team. May need to up sliders as all the little tweaks may have made the game incrementally easier.

That said, I beat St Louis 35 - 20, with a returned kick for a TD (first ever without return middle) and a picked 6. Without those the score would have been 21- 20. Shame about the easier kicking, it would have been a more accurate game without this, I think.

I know this is for impressions only, but did the patch do anything for uniforms getting dirty?

I swear I don't notice any differences at all, is there a way to tell if my patch downloaded?

Attempted to play someone in an online franchise, game disconnected 2 times in a row in the 2nd quarter. Both times after an interception. Pre Patch I have never had a disconnect in online franchise and now twice right after the patch.

Rebooted my franchise post-patch. Overall it didn't seem much different, but the CPU run defense was definitely better. Only got 64 yards with Gore, I think that's my all-time low on M11. Broken tackles are still there. The Seahawks' two TDs came when Housh and Branch both caught relatively short passes, broke a few tackles and went the distance. The CPU's kickoffs were definitely shorter.

Honestly, if the only thing that was truly fixed was the cpu run defense, I'm fairly content. Pre-patch I was destroying the cpu on the ground.

It's no different from before in that regard - it still snaps almost immediately when the accelerated clock is turned on. Turn if off and you'll get several seconds, at least.

Apologies, I guess you're right - it's not waiting for very long before snapping. Guess I just assumed it was like that from previous years - I usually play with the accel clock on so I didn't notice.

Edit: I know what it is now - I was seeing those auto-man in motion plays when I checked it. Obviously, those are gonna take a few seconds to play out before the ball is snapped. But I know that's not what you're looking for - sorry.

LoL I never even liked the kick meter Madden used this year. I saw nothing wrong with the old move the RS style! I mean they didn't change it for NCAA, but why for Madden?

Couple questions has the latest patch improved user pass rush? &
are uniforms degrading as promised?
