With today being the North American release date (and Steam ), lets use this topic for impressions for all 3 platforms. Please limit this to impressions and questions about the game.

UPDATE: Apparently the console version is not being released until tomorrow or even as late as Thursday for some. For those who purchased the PC version off of steam, it has been released and will be unlocked within 2.5 hours to play. I have the game already downloaded on my system, just waiting for the unlock. I will do my best with impressions as soon as the game is unlocked on my PC.

I was thinking about picking this up for the console. Can anyone tell me if the problems\biugs that plague the PC also plague the the console?

Did this game get harder after the patch? I just picked back up on my career and the car seems a lot harder to drive. I have the AI set to pro. and I qualified like I should.. .managed to pull off a 13th in the 1st qualifier. However, it rained during the race and I started 17th got up to 10th or 9th got in some trouble and started falling back, but I ended up finishing a lap down to like 14th place and I was almost a minute behind the 23rd place car. I came in and pitted once I fell back to 24th, my intermediate tires were about gone. I saw some cars pit, but I'm wondering if some didn't? Maybe it is just me. It didn't help having to slow up for the blue flag all the time to let the cars lap me. Don't get me wrong, I want it to be a challenge and that's why I have the AI set to pro. Does anyone know if the rules state you have to pit in the rain, like on dry runs? It was drying out when I pitted so I got options and thought I was turning some pretty fast laps. Anyways, just wondering what others have experienced after the patch?

That makes sense then. I was reading the instruction manual and noticed it only said pit stops are required on dry runs, but didn't say anything about being in the rain. It makes sense, but I'm not sure it is realistic. The other cars should have pitted if I had to, but I'm not 100% sure that they didn't. I'm running a 40% weekend which on 22 laps on the 3rd race (can't remember the track and couldn't spell it if I did lol) and my tires were in the orange after 10 laps. Thinking back now though, since I was on intermediates, I probably should have tried running through the water out of the racing line to keep the tires cool. It seems I remember seeing something about that in the game.

For me, the fuel bug is the one that ruined it for me. I like realism and this particular bug unbalances it, IMO. For others, it may not be that big a deal.
This is why I gave up on the game. They just couldn't get it right.
