animations overall feel more delayed and sluggish than last year. you hit a button and there is a pause before the player shoots or passes. there are too many long "gathers" on layups and dunks...passing animations feel slower and more "floaty"...overall the game geels like they dropped responsiveness by about 15 percent. often you get caught in a canned contact animation and you can't dribble out of it or shoot out of it...you just have to sit and wait for your dumb player to finish the contact animation...
i also have a problem with the types of shots that go in. last year it seemed that when a guy took a bad or contested shot, you knew it was probably going to miss...this year is seems like it's completely random which shots go in and which ones miss...i'm seeing all kinds of contested shots, contact shots, and crazy fade aways going in too much. makes me feel like it's pointless to play defense because the shot's going to go in no matter what i do. last year it seemed like if i was in a guy's face, he would usually miss...i could determine the outcome...now it seems like it's completely random.
Chill out man..this demo is Default Pro. There is no way the contested shots you see going in will be the case when you bump up the difficulty level.
Shooting question.............Sorry its probably been addresses in the 100 plus previous pages but I don't have time to read. I know you can use the shot stick or x button for shooting. Which one is better..... down on the shot stick is a jumpshot but isn't up on the shot stick a jump shot as well? Is down preferred? Also doesn't it seem there is a little hestitation when using the shot stick over the x button?
shot blocking is really bothering me....last year when i pressed the button, i knew my player was going to jump, how he was going to jump and what direction he was going to jump...now i press the block button and i have no idea what my player is going to do..sometimes he doesn't jump at all, sometimes he jumps in the wrong direction, sometimes there is a long delay before he jumps...not liking the shot blocking responsiveness or the animations themselves.
LoL... I played it twice two and put it down. The dribbling is way too hard like you stated, I also can't really tell pass lanes at that angle too...
If I get desperate (Which I don't see), I might play again
I don't feel so bad anymore.

I know its a demo guys. But this is a bad demo. You know my little brother won't play it because he HATES the Lakers lol.
Like I said if you think I'm calling it a bad because of the gameplay. Your wrong lol. I love the new improvements. But nothing to even use really. one team + one player that sucks big time for me.

That is called momentum, something that has been lacking from last years game no one should be able to just do something with out gathering themselves first.

nah..last year 2k10 had momentum...they just increased the momentum...a little too much momentum in my opinion...it shouldn't take kobe 3 seconds to change directions...looks like he's running in 6 inches of snow.

Sounds like someone's abusing turbo.
It's like driving a car, man. Foot off the gas pedal when you're changing directions.

Nah it was not like this it affects you more this year especially shooting on the move.
I'm loving the blocks and defense in general... I've been playing them overly tight and letting them get past me then swooping in with Bynum or Pau for the weakside help... feelt great to me.
Jersey... pay attention to the types of passes you're making man. Most likely you're not paying attention to the angles or youre throwing passes willy nilly
Czar showed us in his vids how the CPU will hawk passes if you're careless
Try angles and or smarter passes...
The thing most of us will have to realize is that this is not 2k10
You cant jam on the sticks all game, you cant hold sprint all game
You cant lead pass all game and
ISO is supposed to be used to create space for a shot, not to And 1 your
way to the basket
With such limited options I've just been breaking Ray's spirit, quarter after quarter. I promise you Ray, you will have your revenge when retail comes out.

I dont think he means thasta its just the feel of it...every shot feels the same where as in 10 you either had a feel you were going to make it or miss it

Lead pass seems like it works TOO well in 11....in 10 it would jsut be an errant pass
