Ok. Thanks for the heads up. Obviously, I didn't know it because I do not have an Xbox.

Maybe you should play it more. Blocking is greatly improved.

Im hoping your right but theres no way to make that determination in the demo that you wont be able to lead pass like that on the full version

Are you sure your playing the same demo as everybody else? Lead Pass Works to WELL in 2k11? Hell no first time I picked up the demo I try 2 2k10 my way into the post and all my passes were deflected or were so bad that the receiver had to adjust to catch the ball.

I really would like to see what your saying otherwise to me your just exaggerating just to make your points sound better which is SAD.

There is no SIM level in any sports game....

You can take any level and modify it to attempt to play SIM. But there is no real level that is SIM.

This is still a video game and the end of the day

Oooo Mo, you did Ray WAY too dirty on that video... my goodness. I gotta remember to use the glass and kill him with some turnarounds tonight.

Made Pierce look silly too in that one sequence... jeez, these animations are pretty.

Got some more time with the game and the more I learn the controls the more I enjoy myself. One question though. I had an opportunity on a fastbreak to throw what was going to be a sexy alley-oop...Pressed the LT button then A and...he throws a regular pass Lol. Is this not how you do it any more? (Sorry if it's already been discussed)

Sidenote: Ray Allen is coming fast on the break so I cut in front of him and press B to take the charge. He jumps up and topples over me as his legs are cut out from beneath him. My jaw dropped! THIS GAME IS THE BUSINESS!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!

I think he is referring to Sim 'GameStyle'. Time will tell how true to life it is.

I kind of expected that would give Kobe the full treatment. But, what impressed me was how everyone else was so accurate as well. When Rondo did his one handed handed ball fake, a huge smile spread over my face.

Something else that really has blown my find is the ball physics. So life like. The crowd also sound 100% better than 2K10.

For Crimmeny sakes listen to this man.... If you just don't like the game then no problem but if your trying to enjoy it. This is NOT 2k10 with more animations if your playing it like that you will miss the boat.

The ballhandling and defensive reaction is not video game type of controls but it is much better than 2k10 and it is extremely realistic. If I go outside right now and dribble hard in one direction and then change directions you have to slow down first if you don't there will be a weight transfer that is going to slow you down.

As in life there is less of that the slower you are moving. I am almost certain those who are not laying on turbo have the left stick jammed full on in a certain direction... that is the same thing as running full out. Its not necessary.

2k11 is about nuanced movement action and reaction not and one dribbling exhibitions. There is a rhythm to the game of basketball this game mimicks that as closely as any other I have seen. I promise you I can take any one here into a gym and show you that your moves are not as "real time" as you think.

If I am in the gym and the ball is between my hand and the floor guess what ?

Can I change directions ? can I shoot ? can I break contact ?

Think about that for a moment ... then take a deep breath and watch what your doing on the floor.

Play within the rhythm of the game give slight nudges on the stick and see what happens.

Real basketball is about moving the weight of the defender from one side to the other. That is how you get open. As you improve or get more efficient on the offensive side of the ball it matter less and less what move if any you use to do that...

If i had the game and was finished with the 10 teams I would show you. So again if you find this isn't the game for you no problem there is another options that has completely different theory for how they handle control that may suite you. But if your wanted to see what this baby offers please listen to the advice of the people who are having a great time with the game.

Watch Mo's video. look at the balance between offense and defense and how he creates separation.

It depends on where you use it. I would actually agree with him if you know what you're doing.

But it's on Pro difficulty. Again - PRO difficulty.

P-R-O.

It's a demo fellas. Let's not treat it like it's the final version and you can't change anything.

Like others have said, I feel and see aspects of Live 10 e.g. the intros.

Players look taller than in 2K10, which is a good thing and reminiscent of Live 10.

Going to the basket is definately harder than last year on pro level. Very good.

Dribbling has improved a lot although I still need a lot of practice.
The controls in general seem a lot more responsive, also on the defensive side. Tight defense seems to work better than last year. Huge improvement.

CPU AI has been give a huge boost. Pierce really plays like Pierce, Rondo infiltrates like Ronda and KG shoots like KG. Great stuff.

One negative: at 1 point I passed to Gasol (with his back to the ring), I pressed the sprint button+ the right stick and Gasol went into a turn around into dunk motion during which the animation sped up to the point where it got unrealistic.

This demo is pure crack, I don't see how people are complaining about it, just like Pared said, its a DEMO and its on PRO. The final version on 10/5/10 is going to be sick!!!!

# 1118 Rocboyz101 @ 09/15/10 03:48 PM
Haven't read through the whole thread, but the delayed reactions are because its just a demo right?

I'm with you. 'You can't please everybody' rings true here. It does seem to me that many of the complaints are coming from the PS3 side of things.
