Went home for lunch just to play a quick game. Anyone feel like they are playing a 2k basketball game with the shooting of the other bball game? I love every min of this game so far. So smooth it's not even funny.. WOW! WOW 2K! Just WOW!!
If this is your issue, you might want to cancel your preorder. Every game is going to have some exploits when dealing with user vs user. That's just common sense. If you don't think people will find a way to "cheese" with the game then you are kidding yourself.

Exactly oO....
The way everyone is explaining it right now. Sounds like there are no huge glimming weaknesses.
But I also been wonder what game style is the demo on?
so with the shot stick offering different types of jumpers are the days of shooting with the button over? if so i'm screwed lol
No, you can do all of the momentum shots, fade aways, and stepback jumpers with the button in conjunction with left stick and LT. However, you can only do the leaners and drifters with the shot stick.
You need to make good passes. I don't think its overdone at all. Balls don't fly through hands, and if a defender is within reach of a ball he will reach for it. This is a good thing. If you slow down the offense and wait for openings/create openings for passes, you may find that the balance is quite solid. This game, even on pro, forces good decision making.
oh god tipped passes is an issue? man...if enough people complain then zipped passes will happen all over again (i really hope 2k dont buckle to the whiners)...to me its just playing smart and not forcing the pass...
Ok is it just my TV or do the graphics look niiiiiice?
Some cool things I saw.
1. Kobe, Pierce, and Ray's jumpers look authentic (which im sure wasnt easy for Pierce)
2. Saw Jermaine O'neal get INJURED. He tried to go up over Pau and there was noticeablt contact, then he went down awkwardly and rolled his ankle it looked like. It played at the end like Emeka's injury on the NO/ATL video yesterday.
3. Rhondo had Fisher on him and drove hard to his right and did his one handed up fake to let Fisher fly by. But Fish didn't bite all the way, so when Rhondo pivoted around to raise into his shot, Fish was still on him. Instead of forcing the bad release, Rhondo passed out of it mid-air to Pierce. And it all looked so smooth.
Gotta get my hands on the demo because, quite honestly, this vid makes the game seem like 2K10, overall. Possibly the capture but the Gamescon vid was just so superior to all other vids shown, imo. Unless it pops up on the PSN within the next hour or so, I technically won't get a chance to play until I get home from work tomorrow morning. Sizzuucckss.
The last thing I want to mention about shooting is for all those Shot Button fans out there. One of our AI engineers absolutely refuses to use the Shot Stick. Why? I’ll never know. But to each his own. He spent some time beefing up the shot face button, and for those in the same boat as him, you’ll be very happy he did. The Shot Button now has access to just about all the shots available on the Shot Stick. So when you keep your Left Stick pressed toward the basket on a drive and hit the Shot Button, you’ll get the same shot that the AI would get in that instance, rather than just the basic set of shots that you got in previous iterations. We then decided to take it a step further. If you quickly move the Left Stick in various directions, just prior to hitting the Shot Button, you can manually control your shot types just like Shot Stick users can. So for example, to get a stepback jumper: drive across the lane, quickly move the Left Stick away from the basket, and press Shoot. It’s a nice alternative for those who like to shoot with face buttons or just in case your Right Analog Stick breaks in half from overuse.
I'm talking about "good" passes. There's too many times I've noticed that the player I passed too could have easily received the ball if it was delivered to a decent location and not thrown to the only spot the defender could make a play on the ball.
If its on the wing you need to lead pass. That has never happened to me. You also have to look at the defender and see how he is playing your man before you pass.
BTW keep in mind that the new passing controls are not in the demo as well...
