And i know Czar said it earlier but, every time you call a play, the ball handler picks up their dribble. I know it won't be an issue in the final build because i believe that this doesn't occur in Da Czar's videos, or am I just lying to myself?
This is only happening because of how you're doing it. Like you said; in his videos, you can call plays and keep your dribble. Always have been.
C'mon man... 2K has done much, much more than we all expected them to do with 2K11 and to judge their online experience at this point is plain dumb. At the very least wait for the Online Features Insight or whatever it might be and then talk...
I am hoping for Online Association this year and if they do I might just send 2K Sports a money order for an extra $65... that would simply make 2K11 the best sports game E.V.E.R!
I was thinking if they wanted to really market the game. They should of release a stripped down version of one of the Jordan Challenge. Give the users a situation like the NHL demo. And have you play as the Bulls only and try to win the game. That would of made a lot more sense in my opinion. Especially with Jordan on the front cover. Give people 3-4 mintues of playing with everyone favorite player of all-time. If you thought the game sold because MJ was on the cover. That would put you over the top. While even feeding the OS group of guys. Who are looking for gameplay improvements.
THIS DEMO IS BANANAS...graphics tuned up a bit I feel in control finally and kobe plays like kobe pull up jumpers is CRAZY...I dunno why but it feels so much like CH2K8 in a GOOD way...Just Drove Baseline And Did A Sick Reverse Layup plus the foul with kobe he sat on the floor for A While...LMAO
I certainly didn't notice that while playing... SIDE NOTE. I did not pumpfake on every single possession.... ROTFLOL
Well, the one thing I did like about 2K10 in regards to pump fakes that the CPU would not only NOT BITE on the pump face but make you pay by swiping ans stealing the ball from you. Now given that you had it on a higher difficulty setting and the right sliders. Just hope this is the case in 2K11.
All of the random crap animations that I hated from 2k10 appear to be gone. Great work 2k. I can finally bring the ball up court without randomly doing a dribble I dont want to or having a defender turn me the opposite direction.
I've blocked Garnett's set shot at least 5 times because his release is so slow and predictable(His post game is a different story)
The walk the dog inbound is a little different now. When the inbounder throws the ball in it has more air to it.
At times the game has a Live 10 feel to it. Mike's influence is definately felt.
I've had a lot of success with the post-spin to the basket.
I love the fact that I can put my back to the basket anywhere I want to. This gives Kobe many more options than 2k10 where I would hope he would post up.
Perimiter defense feels difficult so far because I'm use to holding LT and having more influence. I need more time with it.
looks good, plays good, but the demo sucks because you can't run plays not even limited plays, and you can't choose the celtics, no on the fly adjustments. guess we'll just have to wait until the 5th, but in my case around the 16th.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJlEcIODnzE Notice what allen does to Garnett at 4:16. Finally the players can collide with each other. Also at 2:06 Rondo gets bumped a lil by Perkins and he does a lil stumble lol
Good eye man. This is the sort of thing I saw in the Kobe spin video I noted earlier. I'm seeing all of these videos and I have to say that I'm surprised at how polished everything is looking so far. Normally, when a game first hits and THOUSANDS of people get at it, some huge issue will pop up all over the net immediately. I'm sure there will be some issue - every game has them - but I'm just surprised how ever video looks clean.
Quick breakdown on how to run a play(in the demo atleast):
Once most of your players are past half court tap LB/L1 and then quickly follow that up by pressing the icon of the player you want to run the play for. For example, Kobe Bryant would be B or O. So initially, tap LB/L1 and then quickly tap B/O. A red circle will be under the player of choice, Kobe in this case. You will now need to press another face button (A,B,X,Y/X,O,Triangle,Square) to initiate a play. If done correctly, play art will show up on the court.
It'll take a few times to be able to perform it constantly, and i'm sure that in the released version of 2k11 it will be much easier to do judging by Da Czar's videos. If you have any questions, just ask them in here.
Thanks for the tip man, works well when the player doesn't pick up the ball.
