Anyone try the "flick flick" moves yet? They're some of my favorite shots.
Hold LT, flick the Shot Stick and let it return to neutral (like a pumpfake), then flick and hold it again before the pumpfake ends. You get different shots depending on your movement, facing, distance, and direction of your flicks.
If you're having trouble getting your passes picked, Total Control Passing will allow you to move your receivers around wherever you want. Unfortunately, it's disabled by default so you'll have to enable it when you pick up the full version. Personally, I can't play without it.
why is it disabled by default? did the suits think it would be too much for the casuals to handle?
You can only play with the Lakers? Are you serious? Why?
I know still bothers me thinking about it. I still think my idea of having a Stripped down Jordan Challenge would of been a better idea for the demo. Releasing a one play demo is very weird.

I think PS3 updates their stores around 4-5. Thats usually when I see new rockband songs.
Just finished playing demo 2nd time around and love the feel of the player movements, floor spacing defense response ( Rondo blew by me and I was able to block shot from behind) had a realistic feel to it. Rondo also pulled the his patented ball fake on me later in the game. C's did alot of subbing the first time I played and also I got disconnected from live while playing demo and only come back on if I'm not playing demo. Anyone experience this? Overall I'm very impressed with game and look to purchasing this on day 1.**sidenote*** what's your take on the DFish player model. Kinda funking looking, I know this may not be final build but wanted to hear comments
It's an improvement over NBA2K10 for sure. How much of an improvement? Only time will tell. This demo shows potential, but doesn't feel dramatically different than NBA2K10 for me. I think the lack of playcalling affected me greatly here. In any case, it certainly is a better and smoother game. I am a bit disappointed with the dribbling system. I expected more control and I still don't feel like I'm able to 'break ankles'. C'est la vie.

Maybe I will just watch the CPU vs. CPU. I can't bring myself to use the Lakers. I might get nauseous.

As long as they give you the option to also play with current teams. If the demo only had the Jordan Challenge, it would just confirm many "casual" gamers' belief that it's 2K10 + Jordan, even if it's not. I think 2K made the right decision, marketing-wise.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but is it possible to go to a controller select screen and change your team? I know you can't choose Boston from the team select screen, just trying to think of a workaround? What about connecting a 2nd controller and seeing that works?

After all these years, this is it. Inside Drive 04 CPU IQ, 2K's presentation, visuals and animations, with Live's controls. I'm giddy right now, lol.
-Rondo takes it from Fisher. Just takes it for the fast break, no look behind the head dish to PP for a smash. Another play he gets slapped with the reach. Everything is so fluid. I tried to see how far I could walk the dog, and let the ball near halfcourt. Rondo zooms in, scoops it up for the easy fast break dunk.
-Moving around in space with the modifier on is sublime. I hate that they removed the walk it up anims, but I love how Fish can handle so fluidly, again. Retreats, pulls up with the between the legs...this is the perfect marriage of control and sweet, sweet mo-cap.
-Weakside help is there 90% of the time, which is great. Lots of tipped shots and outright rejections. Seen a few instances of help defenders just jumping at nothing, but it's been greatly reduced.
-KG on the blocks is sick. JO is so nice on here too. The sig stuff is bananas overall. The Truth's set shot, SMH. Mom. Ba. He's cheese, lol. Using Kobe is F'n cheese. I did a double spin baseline fadeway with Bean that was just filthy.
-Spacing is great, passing lanes are now monitored closely by the D. This year, if you don't have the angle, it's a wrap on the ill-advised pass.
It's tough to mentally note all the crazy things you see playing this.

Negative Captain. One could only wish.
Got to play a little bit early this morning. This game is fantastic!!
Way too similar to 2k10 to get me excited in any way. Yes it is the demo and things are disabled, but I'm not sold just yet.
CPU AI was terrible last year. I quit within a couple weeks. Maybe that's why 2k11 looks fresh to me. I'm sold more than I've ever been.
HMcCoy, you're right. All those three combined. I sense familiarity. The Ultimate familiarity.
I think I need to take impressions with a grain of salt, as many liked 2k10 last year. I need to get impressions from those that shared my same opinion of the game. For me, it was unplayable last year. And this game right now, I can't put it down. That may be the ultimate compliment. From beer coaster trash to consuming all my time, in just a years time...
Are you sure? Has this been confirmed? Why would they take that out? I hope it's in the final version. It's not a major issue, but not minor either. The walk the ball up animation gave the game an authentic feel.
I agree. But I guess they didn't have time to get it back in as movement was redone completely.
- How you can catch/regain the loose balls on missed passes ... on 2k10 the ball traveled so fast it was always an outside.
- How there are some bad passes that go rolling to the players feet and they have to duck to get them.
- The lightning and it effects on players skin tones.
- The opening BOS play from Rondo to Allen.
- The view of the Staples ... was that a real footage or a in game scene ?
- Big baby face ... was more than spot on.
- The substitution overlays ... marvelous (thus scares me to death just when I think on all those black silhouttes that will greatly take away the authenticity of such incredible feature).
- The panoramic of the audience ... broadcast authenticity at its best.
- All the contact.
- The smootheness of moves transitions and the momentums ... oh, momentums !
