the game isn't on right now so I don't quite remember but you have to hot route, then choose man, and flick down on the right stick. my problem was I kept flicking the left one down.
Ok thanks. I will check that.

I guess what I'm saying is I'm sticking my face in EA, and I'm not sure why?
haha... awesome and true... good analogy

The overlays were alright. I hope they change that "push start" screen on the front because I will puke every time I see those fans of America's bandwagon err...Saints. I've got a sweet deal on it from Amazon ($49.12 plus $20 back) so I'll still get it but I doubt it's anything more than a casual play for me.
Funny what winning does for a team, few years ago noone prolly would have cared about the start menu.

Just finished my 3rd game, won 17-14 in OT on a pick six with. Gameflow is fine to use on Offense for most of the game, but I have to turn it off on Defense late in the game too many blitzes

Ok i may conceit and pick this up only for the fact that it is an upgrade regardless how minor and my brother and I are very competitive when it comes to Madden. We just played our first game against each other. This time we put something at stake, whoever loses has to go grill the steak

The game itself was really sort of ridiculous. It ending up going to overtime and the score was 48-42. Sanchez had 460 passing yards and Manning had around 420. Both our running backs had over 150 rushing yards. We were both playing on All Pro. The running game in here is broken at the current moment though, its too easy to see a guy break a three man gang tackle; Addai did it 3 times in the game and my dude Greene did it twice. That sort of has to be toned down.

Also is it me or is it when the ball carrier gets ahead of the crowd he becomes impossible to get? I know that may sound silly, but it seems like if your defender in pursuit has one misstep its impossible to get the carrier, and with misstep i mean letting the receiver get a step ahead of you by accident. Not sure how to put it in words, but the game was filled with one guy being able to out run everyone on the field due to the way the animation system works and the cutting.

Well as a demo it did its part by satisfying my taste of football. As a new entry in Madden, its not very different or unique from Madden 2010 at all, but when i have intensive games like that with friends the game sort of shines even with its problems.

DAMN!!!! You put up numbers like this???? This really concerns me if you did not have time to make changes to prevent this on D.

I am going to repeat alot of what has already been said but the game has just gotten stale. I did not have a problem with the gamepad or gameflow but the game just is not fun to play. The crowd is dead. I know it is the demo but even watching other videos it doesn't seem that great. I have NCAA and really like that. The one thing I really like about it, is when you play on the road against a good team you really feel the pressure. I don't get that same sense in Madden. I was on the fence before playing the demo. After playing the demo, i don't think I am going to get it.

Yea the passing game is sort of easy, at least in the demo on All Pro. You basically lob the ball to your receiver and chances are pretty good he'll come up with it. A lot of it was also the YAC. Like a mentioned before about the way the animation system works and having one guy sort of running around you. There are three key plays where i threw the ball about 8 yard and run around one or two defenders for a big 60 touchdown.

This could just be the way my brother and I were playing the game, but its too easy to run around people without having to do anything like spin or stiff arm, literally just run around them if you caught the ball at a stand still like a screen and they were in motion even though not moving very fast.

There is certainly also a broken tackle issue, it happens far to much with things like gang tackling. The worst part about this is the fact that once two or three of your guys are engaged with the ball carrier everyone else stops or slows down, so once the ball carrier breaks them, theres no one to stop him which resulted in some big runs if not touchdowns.

Small stuff like that, but those are things i think could be tweaked with the sliders right? All in all even though the game was pretty broken in terms of realism, it was still a fun match.

Best madden to date by a mile.

Meh...a little better than Madden '10, but I'll be saving my money. As predicted, Gameflow does absolutely nothing for me and will stale quickly...as others have said, I'm not sure why they hyped this feature so much. Honestly, it's like they had half the development team of last year, it's too bad. Ian doesn't even seem excited about this year's version.

I'll wait and see what '12 can deliver.

Could be after playing NCAA so much, but that camera view is really disorienting. It pulls way back, then zooms in really quickly to the ball. I was having a hard time seeing where the ball was going on defense. I'd probably get used to it over time, but it was making my head spin.

I hate to say this, but I don't have much positive to say. Graphically, at least on PS3, it looks to me like it's a couple of years old compared to NCAA. And the post-tackle animations are choppy and everyone is sliding around.

Overall, gameplay just wasn't smooth like it is in NCAA. I usually get both games, but usually spend more time with NCAA. This year, I think I'll pass on Madden...might go back and pick up Madden 10 for cheap(er) for my NFL fix.

Like people have said, it could be because NCAA made such a huge leap this year (thankfully) but I just don't see much difference with this version of Madden.

I'm on the fence. After playing the demo (only once though) I'm not blown away. I've bought every Madden since 94. The demo didn't pull me in and right now with a tight wallet this might be there year my Madden streak gets broken.

Gameflow- I just don't know if I like it or not. I'll play the demo some more if I can tear myself away from NCAA 11 to check it out, but one game and not too sold on it.

Gus Johnson- Big improvement, but not really enough to sell me on the game.

Presentation- Hard to judge from a demo since I don't know what might be left out, but if the demo is what I'm getting in the game, not really impressed.

In the end my OCD will most likely not allow me to break the streak, but this year is very tempting to lay off on Madden. After last year I was expecting something great, not a feature that is likely to be turned off after a few games.

It doesn't happen when it logically should most of the time, and it doesn't appear that they worked on it any in this development cycle, but it is, without question, present in Madden 11.

I agree. Albeit, I just finished my first game but, all I saw were positives. The game is beautiful, game play seems smooth, the run game is better than NCAA IMO (and I love NCAA's run game) also the graphics are amazing. I think that I'm going to enjoy setting up my game plan. It could make the game much more challenging if used correctly. The strategy pad will take some getting used to but, I definitely don't hate it like other's do.

Between Madden and NCAA this is definitely EA's best year for football games in a long, long time. I'm very happy

They did work on it. How much, not sure.

They wanted it to occur less and become less warpy.

I have to admit, maybe not all that useful, but the coach in your ear while calling plays is pretty cool. But dang does it not sound like Dennis Leary? If not the guy needs to lay off the cigarettes. Anyone else hate the way he says Draw and Hurry.

I have to give EA props for the concept and the gameplan/gameflow feature that allows you to store your fav. plays and gameplan. The voice may be gimmicky but shows innovation.

The more I play this game the more I'm liking it.

I wish auto sprint didn't influence QB scramble....I want to run when I want out of the pocket...which stinks cause I'd use it to run /catch , but I want to control my own scraaaaaamble!!!!!!!

# 820 ryan36 @ 07/29/10 01:28 AM
why is there still a runoff!!!! i turned off accel clock, no wonder the games are so quick
