The game feels like Madden 10 on c***k. The speed of the game is way to high, and it hurts the animations. There is still a lot of poor tackling animations, and the catching animations still lack a lot of enthusiasm. I really wish they could just ditch this engine. It is starting to get really stale, IMO.

EA dropped the ball on this one. So ofcourse this means Madden is not going to be that much better. Sticking with Backbreaker.
At the risk of starting a flame war, the Backbreaker demo was a colossal failure. Control was non-existant and the CPU threw INT after INT.

To each his own. :-/

Have you not seen there will be game speed options in the game? I love the tempo, if you don't you can slow it down more.

Pretty sure it's in 09 (I didn't get 10 and 09 is what me and my buddies are using for OD).

jared52 - just another EA basher trotting out the same old criticisms without doing their homework, I doubt he even played the demo..

Played the demo and Its OK. I think there isn't any WOW left in football games any more
I feel the same way.. The demo isn't bad but the throws over the middle and the players still warping to the ball is still a problem for me.

I did see some puzzling blocking on a running play I had but overall the game looks and plays fine. I do how ever think EA should take a page from backbreakers and do a better job with the crowd. The colorforms look in some screens is just plain lazy.

EA needs to take the time to make the crowd look like a real crowd. Look at MLB the Show or Backbreakers and see how it is done.
and backbreaker should take the time to make the players look like real players

hey look if you guys don't like the game that's fine.....

but to say one game should do something that the other games does can work both ways you know....

the crowd IMO isn't as important as the players on the field and that other game might have better looking crowds but the players themselves are weird looking not football players at all to me

Extremely annoying. Bet they fixed it.

Agreed. What good is a football game with great "looking" crowds if the gameplay is subpar. I understand the reservations about getting too excited about NCAA...but its hard to not see promise in this demo.

The demo is absolutely fantastic. The only problem I have with it so far is that about 75% of the time after a player fumbles, the commentary guys play it off as an option fumble. It gets extremely annoying after a while.

Another reason why Custom Stadium Sound is the only thing i listen to during games

I utilize so many different sounds i don't even know half the time they are broadcasting the game anymore.

After playing the demo more and more, I need this game now. Can't wait till the full game comes out. I'm not sure about Madden but I'm definitely buying this game.

you think it was just toned down since it was the demo? i mean, i'm sure the crowd would take away a lot of resources and make it an even bigger demo. i hope so at least.

same with this. because it's an early build, maybe this was fixed in a later build and will be completely gone for the retail version. i'd like to see some videos from the final build before final judgment on the warping and guaranteed slants over the middle.

Just had an issue with the CPU play-calling late in the first half. After getting a first down at my 20-yard line with 0:06 to go in counting and down 3-0, instead of calling a timeout and kicking a game-tying FG, the CPU went no-huddle, ran a play, and the clock expired with the CPU QB throwing a sideline pass to the 10-yard line.

Summer camp must have let out.

I doubt some of these clowns have even downloaded the demo, much less play out.

Anyway..all I want is proper hook zone reactions....thats it. 3/4 of the defensive worries I have in this game, will vanish by fixing that one aspect alone.

I know it's a demo, but I am disappointed by some of the replays and play calling things. But I do love the new hurry up mode alot.

Maybe because this year's game is at Doak.

Florida calls QB Draw play, the QB decides to slide for a 1-yard loss.

Another thing I noticed, there's a delay when switching to defenders nearest the ball carrier. That delay makes a huge difference when you're trying to get a guy before he breaks loose.

To me, it seems like most of the gameplay issues with this game are on the defensive side of the ball.
