"BACKBREAKER™ is a new, revolutionary football experience that takes you straight onto the field. Breakthrough euphoria tackles, non-canned animation, and stunning on-field graphics make BACKBREAKER™ the first truly live football game."
Well, for instance, in Madden the difference in ratings for starting QB's is on the norm of about 20 points. In Backbreaker, it could be 50 for all we know. Thats a long stretch down when it comes to performance.
I wouldn't really want to pick the computer off say 8-10 times in a Road to Backbreaker game but could accept it more than starting a season and having a qb throw almost as many picks in one game as some do in a season though. This would really bother me.I think this is the biggest problem right now with the computer offense because the completion pct in general has been o.k. other than of course the int's and the running game has been at least acceptable at times on hard.
Im sorry, but Im not really comparing the games....just the ratings and trying to make sense of things since we are still trying to figure out the ratings and the difference between a 40 something QB and a 90 something QB and what impact that may have.
Seriously, do you have an impression of BB or not? All you have done is bitch about what it isn't. Your posts are not constructive, they are ridiculous.
How was the ridiculous? Would you say 3 or 4 picks in 4 minutes of game play is realistic at any level of play?

I don't agree, all BK is doing is posting about a problem that many of us are seeing. The ints are killing my enjoy right now and will do so if they are like this in the final version as well.

I guess my point is, no matter how you want to rationalize it, fictional league or not, if you play say 8 minute quarters that comes out 12 picks a game. That's not what I would consider normal, fictional league or not.

Not everyone is going to like it, it isn't trying to compete with Madden, the devs said so themselves... It's just an alternative in a fictional league where maybe the worst QBs in the world play... who knows...
BK certainly hasn't been constantly criticizing the game.He said he planned on getting it at one point. You could put me in that group if you just read my last few posts but we're trying to have a constructive conversation about an important concern.

My hope is, with the 2 minute quarters, the computer calls a more aggressive game than it might usually and will force more balls downfield.

I agree. I hope that this will not be an issue in the retail, if so maybe there is a way around it. I would hate to see that this game would go to waste because of that. There is so much that is "right" with the game.

I know and I agree. There has been nothing wrong with your posts to me, it is an impressions thread after all.
What is "normal" in your view? A 40 something rated QB when there is a max of 100?
The thing is I bet the Indy qb is around a 70 if not higher and still has issues.I've done 2k5 rosters for a few years and have wrestled with ratings fixes that worked to some extent so if this is the case fine but who knows.
He has been constantly criticizing lately, I just looked thru his post history and he's had nothing but negative things to say, maybe I missed his positive thoughts. I digress. I don't care who likes the game or not... I'm not even sure if I do, but I think some of the things being compared with that other game, and talking about reality and sim is just dumb.
Obviously you do care what I think. I was not aware we were in a no critical post of BB zone? I didn't realize you made the rules here.
You must have also missed my impressions where I said I had mostly favorable impressions of the game. Where I said it was a definite first day buy. Where I said the game is amazing in so many ways.
My issues thus far have been camera, player models and CPU QB/Offense AI.
I wasn't aware I was supposed to fawn all over the game, and attempt to rationalize every potential issue with the game.
If you don't like my posts, do us all a favor and put me on ignore.

Yeah I am really not sure how you could attempt to justify that kind of performance from the CPU QB's..
Hopefully it's a demo only issue and we won't see it in final release.
I pray to god not. I wish they would release a vid showing just gameplay from the final build so I could judge. Another thing I wished we could do, now that I am thinking about it is CPU vs. CPU.
It's worrisome to me. But we'll see, there's a reason I don't put all my stock in demo's. There have been plenty of games like this where the demo had some issues that really could have hampered the game, and then final release comes out and it's all good.
This issue is concerning and something to keep an eye on, but should be tempered with the fact it is just a demo.

Even though some of his posts are, in a way, negative, he ALWAYS has the facts to back it up. I might disagree with the guy sometimes, but he knows what he's talking about.
On another note, I've played a good 8 or 9 games and seen the CPU throw only 2 picks in that time span. It seems to happen in bunches, there are either no interceptions or they all come in back to back plays.
I still love the demo, there are just some issues holding it back from being great. I have to tell myself it's just a demo and that perhaps the final game will have all the kinks worked out.

I really believe some of the wonkiness maybe due to 2 minute quarters. Particularly in the 2nd quarter.
