EA Sports have posted another NCAA Football 11 blog. This one showcases the pregame entrances.
Quote:
"Pageantry and Tradition; two words commonly used to describe what separates college football as one of the greatest experiences in sports today. Contrary to popular belief, not all of the action takes place on the field... and one of the hallmarks of collegiate football is how you get there. From Howard's Rock at Clemson, to the "Play like a Champion Today" sign at Notre Dame, to the roar of the crowd as our favorite team takes the field, we've recreated some of your favorite traditions before kickoff and brought them to you like never before.
As I wrote in my last blog, we really wanted to strengthen our authenticity and presentation in NCAA 11. And to do that, we knew pregame entrances were a major component of building a great foundation. We've created run outs for some of the most popular schools based on who you pledged your loyalty to in last year's title, including Clemson, Notre Dame, Miami, Nebraska, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia Tech, Florida State, and more."
No doubt the game will be fin and this will add to my enjoyment. But pre-game entrances are big on my list. I don't care much for the equipment and things of that nature, but I love atmosphere and presentation. So outside this new locomotion system, the entrances and ESPN presentation are my two biggest features in the game and I will be critiquing until its as good as EA can do.
LMAO!!!! I can't believe people are complaining about Sebastian carrying an American flag when the fans in the seats still look like 4-bit ATARI characters. I mean, come on, people! There is WAYYY more important stuff to worry about: Like the fact that not every team has bleachers in their real stadiums, yet every stadium in the game has bleacher seating. I know that Notre Dame Stadium has a few rows of premium seats along the two sidelines that are yellow, but that isn't in the game. They also have a flagpole that is missing as well. And ND also has their band on the field right off the sidelines and behind the endzone, and that isn't there. I mean, literally hundreds of other things they need to fix first, before we worry about "Ooooh, he's carrying an American flag, not a Miami flag. *sob*"
Someone hasn't ready any of the past few pages or has trouble comprehending what I have said. I'm not even going to reply to that post...

Minor to you, not some of us. These entrances are big on my list. Over equipment and dreads. I want to see them correct, yet they got my teams wrong to a good degree so I am willing to bet they got others too and they did with Iowa. That 2 wrong entrances out of the select few we've been shown. Now, Iowa's may be generic, but they showed it in the video, so I am going with the authentic side of the argument for them right now until proven otherwise by EA.
If EA is going to add authentic entrances, than like I've said a thousand times already, I want them to be as authentic as possible. I don't want to see Sebastian carrying a flag when he doesn't in real life. To make things worse, its a flag that we don't use in our entrance. He hasn't carried the American flag or any flag for a few years. EA should have noticed that easily. They should have also noticed that Iowa doesn't run on to the field. But from what we've seen, they got both of those wrong. Judging by the blog, we're going to see partial authentic entrances that are half correct and then are EA'd.

I think the point everybody is trying to tell you is that these are the entrances that are going to be in the game, and no matter how much you complain about something as minor as the mascot holding a flag, they will not change. We understand that you want the exact entrance that your team uses, but for now its better just to be happy with what we have and reserve judgment for the time after we have played the game and seen the entrances in action.
On a different note for those that are asking about generic entrances it seems to me that the entrances in the video will be the generic ones. In the video they didn't show any of the more unique entrances like clemson or miami, so what i think is that for teams that do not have the "authentic" entrance they will show some type of inside the tunnel shot instead of the players touching a sign or whatever and then they will show the teams running on the field like what was shown in the video. Even at some times in the video you could see the same animations but the teams that were doing it changed.
I know that the entrances will probably not change, but if I wasn't complaining, then no one would and we would have a lot lower chance of them improving them next year. If no one complained, then this year's game would be just like 09.

My man we got you 5 days ago when you started.. Let it go breh. Now it is getting ridiculous.
You got me what? And what do I need to let go? EA didn't make the entrances authentic and I am upset over that. At least I don't have a thread asking for a hair style or broadcast camera.
(Note: Odogg and Tarheel, I don't mean any disrespect )

No disrespect to you but we got the fact that you're upset the entrances aren't "authentic enough". Let it go, please for the sake of this thread.

We got your point days ago...You keep saying the same thing over and over and over and over... "I AM UPSET" *RANT repeats*. I could care less about other threads and users who make them. You are using them as a crutch as if that validates your RANT. 5 days over 20+ post of the same complaint..
why is there complaints the game is not released yet,and we could have just had another 10 just with diffrent players and no "authentic" entrances
yall just crack me up with all these non sence complaints and
Cheese and rice this thread is ridiculous. If everyone "gets" Canes' point, they why don't you let it go? He obviously isn't, so do everyone a favor and get out/off of his butt so everyone can move on...please?
Lets everyone cool down a little. People have different opinions on what is important to them. There is nothing wrong with making those feelings known.......but there is fine line between letting it be known how you feel and shoving it down peoples throat.
The only reason I keep repeating myself is because people keep coming in here and saying be happy we have them or its close enough. To me it isn't close enough. I know I've said that a million times and you're all getting annoyed, but apparently there is still people out there who want to bash me for wanting EA to imrpove an aspect of their game.
lol, its funny to see the same people who argued to no end with me about the fake replays EA called authentic arguing with canes about how unauthentic the authentic entrances are.
Would you guys give it a rest already, we're all entitled to our own opinion, stop arguing that canes is wrong.
I am glad some one understands. They get angry over the fact that replays aren't like the real thing, yet when I try and say the entrances aren't like the real thing I get bashed... They must be jealous of something I have
Exactly. When I head authentic entrances, I expect to see our current entrance, not our entrance from 2003. I also expect to see a team that walks out onto the field walk and not run.
Well I got bashed to no end for complaining about replays. I mean EA claimed there is an "authentic" ESPN broadcast yet they are going to give us these gimmicky fake *** close up replays from imaginary cameras. Then they give us "authentic" entrances that are dated and wrong.
Look folks, its not out fault that EA is lying about the authenticity, don't bash us, bash them. We are simply pointing it out.

If it wasn't called authentic then it wouldn't be wrong then would it? If they're going to make authentic entrances I expect authentic entrances not what we saw in the blog.
