NCAA Football 11 News Post

EA Sports have posted another NCAA Football 11 blog. This one showcases the pregame entrances.

Quote:
"Pageantry and Tradition; two words commonly used to describe what separates college football as one of the greatest experiences in sports today. Contrary to popular belief, not all of the action takes place on the field... and one of the hallmarks of collegiate football is how you get there. From Howard's Rock at Clemson, to the "Play like a Champion Today" sign at Notre Dame, to the roar of the crowd as our favorite team takes the field, we've recreated some of your favorite traditions before kickoff and brought them to you like never before.

As I wrote in my last blog, we really wanted to strengthen our authenticity and presentation in NCAA 11. And to do that, we knew pregame entrances were a major component of building a great foundation. We've created run outs for some of the most popular schools based on who you pledged your loyalty to in last year's title, including Clemson, Notre Dame, Miami, Nebraska, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia Tech, Florida State, and more."

Maybe that was taking from a dynasty game that was around 9/11 and it changes for that week only in dynasty? Or maybe Miami informed them they would use the us flag for there entrance instead for this year. Its not that big of a deal to me because I saw a few videos on here that showed that miami did come out with the american flag.

LOL. since we are talking about authentic entrances (must match exactly the way it is) can we put this in too. look to the left of the video

well to be fair, did they say the current authentic entrance? or just an authentic entrance?

I just don't understand why you guys are acting like you are. I have said numerous times, I am glad EA has added these and I will be watching them every time.

What I am trying to say is, I want them to be authentic as possible. When Sebastian hasn't carried that American flag in a couple of years and didn't even carry one last year, then I don't want him carrying one in the game either. It ruins the immersion.

You can call me a douche bag or whatever, but I am just trying to get EA to make it the best as possible. Would you rather EA not change them at all, or would you rather them correct it to where the cheerleaders run out before the team with the U flag and then the M I A M I flags as well. Would you want them to leave it in as Iowa running onto the field, or would you rather EA make it authentic and have them hold hands and walk onto the field?

You guys are flipping over me asking for authentic entrances, but you praise others for noticing so and so has the wrong facemask or your favorite team's uniform has a stripe thats a shade too dark. It doesn't make too much sense to me. I am not asking EA to remove these entrances if they're not going to be correct, I am just saying I want them to be as close to the real things as possible.

^^ In Bold is what it boils down too. If you dont like the nitpicking/details/OS then don't post in here or read it. And make sure to stop by Kane,Odogg and everyone else who has made a thread about some minor detail in your eyes that seems ridiculous and keep your quibs about nitpicking consistent. I'd like it the way I see it on tv and wont settle for less. If you will thats you.

Exactly Maximus. Why should we settle with authentic entrances that aren't authentic? If others can't settle with the lack of dreads facemasks not being in the game, then we can nitpick about this. If EA is going to add authentic entrances, then I want to turn on the game and be able to see an entrance that is 99% of what I saw numerous times last year.

I never saw Sebastian with an American flag, or any flag. I saw the cheerleaders with 6 flags. One with a U, then each one with a letter from M I A M I. Yet, EA apparently saw Sebastian carry an American flag and saw no cheerleaders. We aren't asking for EA to fix Miami's entrance because they are our team. We are asking for correct entrances all around. I want to see Iowa coming onto the field walking while holding hands. I want to see Tennessee run through the band. i don't want to see Texas holding an American flag because if memory serves me right, they don't come out with one.

Look who is behind him. Larry Coker... That was a long time ago. My post clearly said last year.

Nice try though.

Lol. I want to tell you that you're being picky, but I argue for dreads every year and other equipment. lol I'm no hypocrite.

Did Texas come out with the American flag last year though? For some reason I keep thinking they didn't. Also, I think asking for dreads is a lot more picky than this. Miami had maybe 10 players with dreads and we had a lot more than most teams. I would love to have dreads, but its not going to make the game that much better when I'd say less than 20% of the players in the game even have them.

Anyways, I don't see this being picky. Miami comes out of the tunnel behind Sebastian who is behind the cheerleaders with a flag with the U and then the flags with M I A M I. We don't come out of the tunnel behind Sebastian with an American flag. They have it 70% correct. Just like Iowa, They hold hands and walk onto the field, yet EA has them running onto the field.

in the Red River game Texas always comes out with the USA flag, Texas Flag and Longhorn flag I believe

Is that the only time they use the American flag? I don't watch them a lot, but for some reason I feel like they didn't use it last year.

Just enough rope to hang yourself. Since you are good with percentages what is 1 out of 120 = ? then subtract 70% from that because they got that much right. So in a way dreads are more important. lmao

As a fan of a team that will be lucky to get a generic entrance, I wish I could be picky about which flag our mascot is carrying.
