EA Sports have posted another NCAA Football 11 blog. This one showcases the pregame entrances.
Quote:
"Pageantry and Tradition; two words commonly used to describe what separates college football as one of the greatest experiences in sports today. Contrary to popular belief, not all of the action takes place on the field... and one of the hallmarks of collegiate football is how you get there. From Howard's Rock at Clemson, to the "Play like a Champion Today" sign at Notre Dame, to the roar of the crowd as our favorite team takes the field, we've recreated some of your favorite traditions before kickoff and brought them to you like never before.
As I wrote in my last blog, we really wanted to strengthen our authenticity and presentation in NCAA 11. And to do that, we knew pregame entrances were a major component of building a great foundation. We've created run outs for some of the most popular schools based on who you pledged your loyalty to in last year's title, including Clemson, Notre Dame, Miami, Nebraska, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia Tech, Florida State, and more."
I haven't read the first 31 pages here, but I'm guessing my 2 cents is similar to most people's opinions: That video looked amazing. Huge upgrade in atmosphere and graphics. This is really looking like a massive jump from 09, the last title I bought in this series.
Now, hopefully, there's no major game play bugs or silliness (good move taking out those CPU sliders in Madden a couple years back, eh?) that ruins it.
All I can say is finally, and if the game is what it's hyped up to be this year maybe I'll even throw in a thank you EA (those words haven't even been thought by me for a very long time, maybe said sarcastically e.g. "thank you EA for proving to me once again you don't listen to the fans") but I digress.
I guess if there is one thing to nit pick it's not having the alley of people from the tunnel to the sidelines. Watching the youtube vid of vt with the band etc. then watching the Michigan entrance from behind the tunnel and not seeing this is a bit of a bummer.
What people do understand is it all about money, Let say EA did put everything you wanted in the game. Making it the dream game aka the best game every. Than what will the next years game be?
This is what I'm saying. No disrespect, but Rutgers entrance is just Miami's entrance without the football helmet. All that big screen stuff beforehand is superfluous to this feature.
it would be cool if teambuilder had a "create your own pregame entrance" in it.
you could create your own sign that the players would touch before the game or choose if your players come out of the tunnel with elbows locked or just running full speed ahead.

Look at MLB the show man... Arguably it has everything you need gameplay and presentation wise.. But theres still so much that can improve with that game..

A game can never be perfected. I can think of an endless amount of new improvements and ideas that can be added into the game each year
Haha, wasn't expecting that. Quite the tight video, can't wait to see it all implemented out and how it flows.
Needless to say, EA's putting in bonafide effort this year, no joke. Even if things aren't all clicking, you can't argue that they are hitting some problem areas very hard in an effort to make this game great.
Loving what im seeing presentation wise game looks like a monster now i hope gameplay equals and im not coming out the house the rest of the summer lol
