We have just posted our hands-on NCAA Football 11 preview. Find out what Christian McLeod has to say about the game, a few months before release.

	"The NCAA series used to be my favorite sports franchise. I use the past tense because ever since the series came to current-gen consoles the gameplay quality and presentation values have taken steps backwards, culminating in the extremely disappointing NCAA Football 10. So my mission was clear at this preview event in New York: track down those responsible for the development of the series, ask them the tough questions that the OS faithful expect and see just what was so special about this year's version of the game, especially after years of disappointment. But before I go any further, I wanted to bring up one thing. In today�s world of yearly sports releases of varying quality, it is quite easy to scapegoat a developer or producer, placing the blame on those particular individuals for the quality of their aforementioned game. Our forum users here at OS have a somewhat notorious reputation for holding development teams to somewhat impossible standards at times -- just look at the 180-degree turn in excitement for NCAA 11 after the initial "gameplay" video was posted on site."

Will someone make sure that Brad Nessler, when introducing games from Columbia, SC says "WilliamS Brice Stadium," and not William Brice?

That preview has me really pumped. If Miami's team entrance is in the game, then this game is a midnight buy for me. Everything sounds awesome from the reduction of suction animations to the presentation. From the gameplay videos we've seen, all but one have impressed me. And in my life, Majority rules, well most the time...

It's not because they've been bought off by EA or some other crazy conspiracy, it's because they get to see a lot of the good, new stuff, and they usually refrain from mentioning many of the issues because there's a chance they may be resolved before release. Everything sounded very good in the preview, which kinda sparks something on the " too good to be true" meter.

Only thing that concerns me is that every year the OS contributers or whoever that gets a chance to post a preview...ALWAYS comes out very positive and optomistic. As we all know, things just go downhill from there.

I am a very cautious-optomistic at the current time, but if the past 5 years tells us anything, its that even the OS preview people arent as unbiased and they would have you think.

I sincerely hope I am wrong.

Very nice in-depth write up. I'm a big NCAA guy, but hardly played much of '10. I know we always hear how great the upcoming iteration is about this time of year but so far, this one is truly sounding really good.

My optimism for this game is ramping up.

This will be my only EA football game for me this year. Madden, unless they get rid of the bordem factor, will not be getting my money.

I am still concerned about online dynasty. Have not heard about any kind of overhaul on this. Online dynasty was a major reason I played this game these past two years.

I'm not an online player, but most people i've heard talk about it seem to be pretty happy. What in your opinion needs to be overhauled?

Sounds very promising. Definitely should feel like a different game after the last few have all felt pretty much the same. I hope they kept the player lock POV for defense that they had last year.

I don't see any reason to think that they've included every authentic stadium. There are still some generic ones, and by now you'd think they would get them all in.

Momentum works, no more robo qb, no more suction blocking, and running animations are better. Is is possible that all these things are fixed? The way this review made me feel is that this will be the best football game on next gen. Throw in ESPN presentation and damn. It's hard not to be skeptical, this review is going to generate so much hype. Please if anything is actually fixed let it be OLine DLine interaction.

Everyone falls for it every year.

April: OS says this years game is really great.
June: OS says the NCAA team really stepped it up this year.
July: OS gives it a good review. It comes out everyone hates it.
End of July: After everyone says it sucks, OS does a 180 on the forums and wonders what happened, that this is not the game they played.
Next April: OS says, sure LAST YEARS sucked butman this years game is really great.

Repeat.
