and to DDP24 I totally agree this whole thing just doesn't make any sense
At first I was like "Oh my God I've been hoodwinked", but I calmed down and did some research. And I feel a bit better now that I've forced myself to feel otherwise.

Okay I watched it again, and again. I do see the improvements, but I also see the flaws.
Seems that when coming out of a spin or juke, the player seems to glide for a few seconds. It's like a animation was skipped over that would have made it connect better. But overall, the game is improved. They need to fixed that choppiness and gliding issue before release. It will make the difference.

And i originally watched the video on Pasta's site, thats where i got the info about replay mode.
Just by what games I have played in the past 5 years, why shouldn't I compare it to a cheating ex-girlfriend? I'm sorry, but when you've given me what in my mind has not been a good football game for the past 5 years, why should I hold out all my optimism after the video you've shown me, with a few fixes I'll admit, still has MAJOR flaws.

Maybe we love College Football and maybe im not a kid.....too many factors and age groups on this site to say things like that.

Look I am going to buy it anyway so I am not the demo here but.....
THAT VIDEO WAS AWFUL!!!!!!!!
Why did they put that up?????? Thats just dumb marketing, I mean they had to realize that there were problems all over that.
Again I am a Midnight on release day buyer so I am not the one they have to impress but GEE WHIZ PEOPLE!!!!!! That was just bad and yes my excitement from hearing about the ESPN Intigration has definitely been knocked down a couple of levels after seeing this. I hope the morons from the development team sees this thread and someone gets a nice yelling at because that shouldn't have seen the light of day.

This video leaves me less than impressed. There is nothing that makes it any different than '10. The weird cut by the Ohio State player (I think) at :38 seconds in shows no momentum or locomotion. The player just cuts on a dime.
Also, the Illinois player that does the spin move. He gets locked into an animation. Why would a player spin, stop half way and backup before continuing on? He wouldn't, its so he can "break the tackle" animation that he got sucked into.
This is largely disappointing. Some of the new locomotion stuff seemed to be in there but it looks no different, gives us no game play ideas and has some of the same mistakes and issues that appeared the last few years.
Everyone seems disappointed now, but I'm sure the hype machine will get running again.

it didn't have the ncaa 11 opening scene nor did it have the credits at the end
On the positive side. The graphics look great. NCAA and Madden look better now than they did a few years back. The stadium and players look better.
The running motion still does not look natural. You can see the effects of "locomotion" and it's not positive. It looks artificial when a player cuts or accelerates. You gimmick something in the middle of a play to improve it but when you implement "locomotion". It makes the rest of the play look silly. It's like Pro-Tak. In order to add a feature in the middle of a play, You thrown in some animation tech that doesn't fit and looks out of place.
That's what I see here.

Did the video look good....hell no! But I really don't care that very minor details are off a little, as long as they have fixed gameplay, namely line play. My biggest fear is that they haven't done anything in this area as witnessed by the FSU lineman going around the gator OL that just stood their and tried to grind on him, also by the ND fb that tried to throw a block and completely whiffed......this used to be my favorite franchise, but since moving to next-gen it has started getting worse instead of better!

Small things that would have made this video look a lot better.
1) Defensive and Offensive players still do not know how to go around each other. At 00:12 you can tell the DE rushing from the right does not do a good job of going around the TE and then coming up the field on an arc to attack the tackle.
2) 00:15, if the DT actually tried to attack the A gap/inside shoulder of the guard with a pass rush move already in mind that would have made that look a lot better. Too much rock/paper/scissors or I have to do this first then do that in the animations. Why can't a guy be moving and also swinging that club at the same time. The DL still do not seem to round off their pass rushing.
3) 00:17, still too easy to scramble outside with QB's because DE's engage at the damn line. Come on, run up the damn field and turn in!! Same thing happens at 00:23. Actually 2 and 3 are occurring there. The DE does not know how to get around the TE and then run an arc and bull rush into the offensive tackle so he just engages him right there. I'm going to be on them about that mess this year because it was a big gripe last year. Notice how easy the ND QB can move away from the blitzing OLB and that's because the damn DE, rather than running an arc up the field before engaging the Offensive tackle, engages him at the damn line. Come on EA.
4) 00:32, this has been a problem in EA football games that needs to be fixed. This WR is going to get bumped, however he needs to use his arm and also push back against the DB. Don't just get your a$$ thrown to the ground and look like a stumbling, bumbling fool while a nano blitz is coming up the middle and I can't throw it to you on a hot read. #27 plays with no technique on the WR once he's off the jam. Play inside or outside on his damn hip. Nope he just gets in front of the WR and runs the route and if the route has cuts the DB is burned. Post corners, Corner Posts were money vs man coverage in madden 10, if the DB's are not going to play any technique the same will be true in this game.
5) The route running by #82, he's still a little bit too high and he does not explode off the line. He doesn't give you the footwork to make that cut look believable either. Now once he catches the ball, there should be an animation where his spin actually squares him up. He shouldn't be able to spin while running and keep running. His spin should square him up and put him in a position to perform a move.
6) Why does TE #80 get really slow in his route. He comes off too high and not that explosive and then just gets really slow. Can't tell too much but the OL pass blocking looked weird on that play. Need to see it.
7) The Spin move. Ideally the spin move requires the runner to come off the gas. Give some footwork then spin like this
#11 does not do any of that. He just goes from full sprint into a spin. Do you realize how many ligaments would be destroyed doing that?
It's really small things, that might not be so small on the developmental side, I will admit that, but small things would have made this look a lot better. I think it will look better as a complete package even with the way it is, if the presentation is on point. But there are some game play things that need to be a lot better.
