I noticed as of yesterday, EA had posted the Tebow cover on the news section. Today it is gone, presumably to fix the image of him that had been flipped?

It's Tiburon football. It won't change people. If you're cool with that, then you should be all good. This is why I love me some Gamefly.
With outside Linebackers in 3-4 and DE's in 4-3 defenses this is what we should be seeing as they rush the passer:
Actually let me qualify. With the 4-3 it should be this way as long as you do not pinch the line or shift it one way or another. If you pinch it you should get guys running an arc because they are way out of position to do so. If he shift it one way, you should get that outside guy running the arc, but not the DE who is now lined up inside of the OT because of the shift. Other qualifications can also be made. For instance, in the NCAA video when the OLB pressures the ND QB, it looks like the defensive front was 4-3 over with the backer on the line of scrimmage blitzing. You definitely do not want that DE on that side running the arc. However you do want the open DE running it so that the QB can't easily move away from the pressure and throw back across his body for a complete pass
Here is what we should be seeing out there on the edge out of 3-4 OLB's and 4-3 DE's.

Eh. The safety didnt close on the Notre Dame receiver until AFTER he caught the ball.
It was nice to see a RDE actually beat a tackle with a move.

I knew as soon as I clicked this link, there was going to be mass hysteria! SMH.
LoL I viewed that video, and was thinking "Wow, the OS regulars are going to trash this video so bad..."
i knew that after a vid showed all of the hype would be destroyed...not saying that the people on here saying its horrible are right or wrong...its just that i figured everyone would dissect this video like a high school and thats funny to me.
Overall it seems better and the same...saw too many of the same hits and yeah that spin animation was horrible. I would hope they would get some teammate celebrations. That ref almost got killed on the punt return. i dont think the DE/OL or the WR/DB interaction will ever be up to our standards but as long as it improves slighty.

LBzrule nails it really.....again I want to see some more gameplay, but the lack of transitional animations/foot planting is just going to be a real killer to our sim dreams
I really want to know if this is:
A. Are they even aware that the foot planting/transitional animations look bad???
B. Actively trying to fix it, and they just cant

Hey guys maybe they put this video out there so that people like us could take a look and do sort of an unbiased review of how it looks. They still have time to fix whatever probs we see.
looks better then 10 but all it is is madden 10 gamplay and player shapes on ncaa 11..but its still a upgrade for the game..i guess
I think the whole vid looks bad. A few things that stand out though is at 0:31, where's the locomotion? They are rushing the passer, then he throws the ball and the whole defensive line turns on a dime. That out route shortly afterwards at 0:37 looks horrible. Where's the locomotion there? He's running straight then just slides/pivots on both feet and runs out. And I don't know what that was at 0:50. There was just too much sliding going on there. I don't know why they slowed it down like it was something spectacular lol. I wouldn't have showed it. In fact, I wouldn't have showed the whole video. That's just me though. I really think a dev or someone should come and explain what's going on here.
I know a whole bunch of people were all giddy for NCAA before this. Well, welcome back to mother earth.

Probably a lot of overreactions, but you could tell people were getting set up by the way they were talking about this stuff before the video came out. People need to realize that there's likely gonna still be plenty of WTF? moments with this game. But it's obvious they are working on some aspects with the locomotion stuff. But everything is not gonna be as we want it to be, and that's why this video is pretty much what I expected, good mixed with still bad.
They need to work on the route running and momentum with that, cause that OSU guy (Ray Small I think?) committed all the cardinal sins of physics with that play lol. The other obvious flawed one is the animation where Illinois back does the spin move. That was warping at its best.
Other than that, though, the video wasn't an absolute catastrophe. It's still going to be EA football, where they still want user control to be tight and responsive. They can't abandon the huge numbers of people who like the game because of its responsive controls and such, so it's going to take some work to balance the two sides. I'm encouraged that they're at least looking into it, cause in the past they certainly weren't.

This is why we need consistent interaction with a dev. We need confirmation on this vid. is this the official vid. or not? Last year we would have gotten an answer by now. If this isnt on the NCAA 11 site I question why it isnt and was this even meant to get out.

Terrible move by EA to release that vid. It has definitely dampened my enthusiasm for the game, however I'm not going to write it off, yet. I want to see REAL gameplay vids and try out the demo, before I make my purchasing decision.
