Ther is no attribute rating to make the cpu go for more on ball steals.

So, in order to get more reach in fouls you might want to start by increasing that slider to about 90-100 and work your way down from there if appropriate.

I'm open to discussion and Q&A,but actual settings can be found at the site below when they are released, which should be later on tonight

That said, It's just me combining and play testing the sliders and their interaction with each other. THERE IS a science to it and there is a logic to it too, but it's comllicated and different for each sports video game out there
Ok thanks.

I already have the foul slider set at 100. The cpu doesn't reach in very much at all. In fact, they don't attempt many ball steals.

Is there a way to start the game with your defense playing full court man rather than a haldf court D without switiching your D after the first series? I know in 2k you could choose either half or full court to start but I don't see that option in NCAA 10. I only have the demo though so...

P.S. If anyone could post a pic of the UTEP Miners and their court I would greatly appreciate it. I have to wait fr Christmas for this game... my wife won't let me buy it

No and its aggrevating as hell. I wish I could set an option for my team to press after a made basket, or play zone on inbounds passes on my end, etc...I hate having to try to switch defenses and defend at the same time.

If no one does it prior, I'll post the pic when I get home. At UofL game getting pumped to play some NCAA.

Thanks for the info. That is dissapointing. I also press after a basket and find it really difficult to set a press after I score a basket.

Countryboy - doesn't the "Gameplan" option on the setup page (before you begin the game) give you the option to do this very thing?

countryboy, I am seeing about 10-15 attempts a game from each team. For me to get that high, I have to go strong which at times leads to me losing the ball. Kind of pick your poison, but I am getting better in that regard.

Unfortunately, none of those options seem to actually do anything. It does not matter what changes I make on that screen, my team always starts every game in 4-out motion and 1/4 court man to man.

PS I really LOVE how the 1-2-1-1 press works in this game. It is NOT perfect by any means, but it is FAR above and beyond what any college basketball game has been able to do in the past. There is a brilliant balance of risk and reward, where I am able to force a good number of turnovers and get some easy buckets, but often the CPU breaks the press and scores easy baskets of their own.

Also, I think alot of these sliders and settings are going to depend a very good deal on what teams are playing. With Harvard against other small schools, with all fouls and fatigue set at 65, I was getting 20+ free throws per game for me and for CPU, and two players getting 35 mins and other starters 20-30 mins. But when I played as USF against Villanova with those same settings I only saw about 15 fouls all game, and I was able to play several of my players almost the entire 40 minutes. So I think the team has a lot to do with it.

WazzuRC,

I just got to simming another season today, but it seemed like every ESPN 100 player signed with majors. There wasn't one that signed with a lower team. There were still some that hadn't signed, and I wasn't able to see where they went because after the off season recruiting is over you can't go to the recruting screen to see where players signed.

Also, this was just in the off season recruiting, because in season you are only able to see your short list, not the ESPN 100.

it that is what its used for then its not working properly. I set my option to press on full court defense, but my guys play half court after a made basket. I have to call for a press and then if I want to switch to zone in the half court, I have to call that as well.

I'm so frustrated, because this game has so much potential. I am a diehard college basketball fan (Jayhawks all the way). However, unfortunately there are too many glaring issues that are ruining my enjoyment. This is all gameplay related mind you.

Once the CPU throws it down in to the post, they always shoot. I have yet to see them kick it back out. I know others have commented that they do in fact pass it back out, but how many games do I have to play to see one? Because of the infrequent pass out, it becomes predictable and relatively easy to block the shot.

I'm seeing some erratic shots from three being tossed up when being closely guarded. It's as if the CPU has one thing in mind. They don't seem to play all that intelligently. I'd like to see a lot better ball movement.

With the foul slider maxed, I'm seeing very few fouls for both teams. Off ball fouls are non existent. It just seems extremely unbalanced. If I don't try and steal the ball, you would never see a reach in called.

There seems to be too frequent of those canned animations when drawing contact while taking it to the basket.

Fatigue has to be maxed, and even then it doesn't seem to make a significant difference. I can't even tell when my big man's endurance has slowed. He seems just as quick and effective.

I'm hoping these things I've mentioned can be fixed with a simple patch. If they can, I can see it being a more than solid college basketball game. Until then, I am hoping we hear something from the developers acknowledging these issues and promising patch changes.

Well...I have finally come up with a slider st that fits pefectly for me. I have decided to stay on AC....and with the slider adjustments....I think I love this game more now, then when I put it in. I Played L'ville at ND and I won by 8...then I played L'ville on the road and lost by 7. I beat Nevada by 24 at home and won by 11 on the road. I just played Michigan State and I was down by 9 with 7 minutes to go, and fought my way back to tie, by hitting a 12 footer with 0.7 seconds left.

Then in the 1st overtime with 1.3 seconds left Kalin Lucas(MSU pg ) hit another shot to tie the game and go into a 2nd OT. I ended up winning in the 2nd OT by 9...only because they had 3 guys foul out.

The stats were pretty damn good.....

MSU

Shtng % 43
FT 17
FT% 81
3pt % 24
TO 8
blocks 2

Leading Scorer - Kalin Lucas with 37pnts 8 assist

ND
Shtng % 46
FT 16
FT% 78
3pt % 31
TO 11
blocks 4

Leading Scorer - Luke Harangody 35pns 11 rbnds

I have a few minor adjustments to make.....but man was this a fun game to be part of.

Final score (2OT)
ND 103
MSU 94

Just had a great game against detroit...but it was ruined by the terrible late game AI.

I was up 68-60 with 20 seconds to go. The CPU takes the ball down, and I expect them to shoot a quick 3. Nope, the SF sits there and dribbles it in place for 5 seconds, then passes to the PG. Here's the worst part. The PG and SG passed it back and forth from 5 feet away the rest of the time, and the SG took a last second 3 and made it.

This is very dissapointing, because I really love this game, but the terrible late game AI really ruins a close game. I'm really hoping this is a rarity or something.

quick question...when playing tournaments is there any way to know the order of the games for instance if you're playing the NCAA tourney, how do you know which game are played before others so as to not skip over ones you may want to play.
