i played 10 games straight online last night and i must say besides 2k10, this is my favorite bball game. i love the pace and the flow of the game! I love how the home court advantage works. ie...you shoot better at home and you have to play smart to win on the word. If this game gets patched, i wont be downloading it! thats how they messed up live!

im glad i tried the game for myself cause i love it!

Gotta Nba Live too, im still waiting my Ncaa order dispatched (im living in Europe), from what ive seen, despite some heavy flaws, is a great fun game, and Ncaa (from the demo) is even better in my opinion! U dnt feel cheated like 2k10, less frustrated and u got a very physical game (love contacts in paint, post game, shoot percentage). I feel Ncaa gameplay more sharped than pro bro.
EA got serious potentials this time.

I've gotten the fast break issue somewhat fixed..Now working on the snap of certain animations...

Care to share how you did that?

imo, the fast breaks are alot better so with tombas sliders, it should only get better!

well...I've settled in on a fatigue setting and I've settled myself on foul settings(wish there were more non-shooting fouls by the cpu), so after the UofL game today, I'll be firing up my dynasty.

one thing I haven't mentioned that I'm thoroughly enjoying is the ability to wear teams down. I played American this morning as I tested out my latest fatigue/foul sliders and they played me close thru the first half. I led by 8 I believe at the half. 2nd half, my press finally got to them, they turned the ball over 12 times in the 2nd half alone and I outscored them 37-15 in the half to rout them 74-48.

This is something that I didn't feel was present or at least as noticable last year as it is this year.

I am really enjoying this game.

What kind of settings are you using cb? I still can't get the fouls and fatigue settings down.

# 870 jpup @ 11/22/09 12:45 PM
yeah, cb, post your sliders and settings please. i'm anxious to start my dynasty sometime tonight, but I have several issues to correct first. I also need to decide on a team to use.

loving the game so far though. i never thought it would be this fun although I really enjoyed the demo.

my settings right now are:

Reach in and charge/block fouls are at 100.

Shooting fouls - 70

In air collision fouls - 60

Fatigue setting is 80. I'm liking this because imo, anything higher forces the cpu to run guys in and out even though he's only rotating 8 players. 80 seems to allow guys that can play 35+ minutes to do so for both myself and the cpu, and big men who are forced to run, or low stamina guys, are forced to be subbed in/out.

If you want the Human player to reduce being stripped then it should go up for the Human player not the CPU.
Thanks Playmakers. I have lowered these a lot for the computer and I am finally seeing them turn it over more. Lowered it a bit for myself as well to help me turn it over as well.

I have been using 80 fatigue myself and like the results. I don't auto sub, but the CPU does a good job of getting the guys minutes as countryboy said.

The auto sub pattern can be odd at times for the CPU. I played vs Georgetown yesterday and committed a foul on the first play and they subbed two guys out. I was like WTF, but in the end the minutes played was pretty accurate.

I couldn't stop their offense, and even though they only attempted 47 FG's, they shot 63% and beat me by double digits. Methodical agony.

I have all fouls at 100 and still do not see as many as I would like for me and the CPU.

would like to see some CPU reach-in fouls

agreed. As much as I hate sliders, I raised the cpu's steal ability hoping it would cause him to reach more, but he didn't.

I'm not sure if hands in the post and perimeter would do anything to help this, as I'm pretty certain they are offensive sliders it seems.

# 876 countryboy @ 11/22/09 01:29 PM
poster....how many free throws are you and the cpu averaging per game with the sliders at 100?

CB would you be willing to post your sliders? Sounds like you have the game playing well. I am looking to start my dynasty and would love to see what you are using.

outside of foul and fatigue sliders, I haven't adjusted any. My settings are default All-American.

CB,
I have been testing the fatigue settings as well and as I had stated I was running 90 plus for fatigue but my starters were running about 2 minutes light in terms of playing time. I will take your suggestion in the 80 range. I'm thinking 80-85 as well.

Another thing that I tried was the updated rosters and played them again. Anyone who is light on fast breaks, these new rosters are cranking. You will get breaks, both human and ai. I just think that the temp and speed is too tough to keep up. What I did take from the update is EA could really fine tune this and make up for the deficiencies.

Lastly, bluengold posted a great website for every stat known to man. It does incluse min per game for every player, it is statsheet.com

Actually I'm trying not to clutter up the boards with physical slider and roster settings here at OS.

I'm open to discussion and Q&A,but actual settings can be found at the site below when they are released, which should be later on tonight

That said, It's just me combining and play testing the sliders and their interaction with each other. THERE IS a science to it and there is a logic to it too, but it's comllicated and different for each sports video game out there
