One thing for you 2K8 guys who are trying to transition to this game, you really need to call a lot of plays or motion. In 2K8 you can run a lot of plays to help your offense but you can also not call a single play and still beat a team by 20. Not really the case with EA's games.

I think 20 minute halves may be alright afterall, I'm trailing GTown 29-28 with UConn at MSG.

wow..im really impressed...game feels tight out of box with few tweaks to fatigue and fouls...presentation is something EA should add to all their titles its amazing and keeps game fresh...im gonna spend alot more time than I thought with this one.

I would love to see a high majors player ratings like new mexico (MWC). I forget which year but they had white guys as black guys and vice versa. with accuracy like that, I just couldnt take them serious..

PM me if you so choose. i may pick this up in the next half hour . shame on me

I'm really excited to pick this game up now. Seems like the impressions are generally positive.

CB or any one who has the game, could you possibly post Dayton's ratings and also see if #44 is a RS Frosh?

Beat Georgetown 54-52 on a layup at the buzzer by Robinson. Nice to see the tempo feature still works well after I beat Notre Dame 85-77 in an up and down game.

It was funny as hell watching G'Town's offense, in college we ran the Princeton stuff too so I knew everything that they were doing. Cool stuff to see in a video game especially since it's finally well done.

For people worried about the feel of individual players, at least as a user there is a pretty substantial one which doesn't surprise me since it's very evident in Live (trust me I know, after using Chris Duhon all the time with the Knicks it was a god send to go play a few exhibitions with Derrick Rose). Kemba Walker's R-stick moves are much quicker and more effective than anyone else on my team. Dyson's are pretty quick and he can get by guys a fair amount of the time. Stanley Robinson can't drive by anyone so far (ND/GTown) and Coombs-McDaniel (frosh SF) has the slowest R-stick dribble moves and I don't even consider trying to take someone off the dribble with him.

I'm pretty damn impressed so far, default Varsity has given me two really good games. My only concern is that a few too many layups are being missed, I feel like I'm playing 2K circa 2003. Besides that I don't know if I'll be tweaking anything. I'm really surprised at how much blocks are improved from the demo. Offensive rebounding is pretty good too.

Thanks man. Looks like Dayton is rated somewhat accurately by just looking at OVR, but I wish they would have gotten Josh Benson's class right.

I just want to give big props to EA for really fixing the sim engine. Top 25 is spot on, very accurate records (number one is 27-1, top 5 only have 3-4 losses), player stats are very realistic, and POY candidates are all from national contenders and have nice stats (something that the 2K series always bothered me with).

Very nice job EA!

Hey CB, could you please post Southern Illinois' roster? You don't have to list the ratings if you don't want to, I'm just curious how close the roster is to real life. Thanks

Dynamic updates should hopefully fix this problem, but yeah that is pretty frustrating.

I am playing all conf and have not seen a lot of lay ups missed. One thing I've noticed, no time outs by cpu. Are you seeing that in varsity?

I am MD and lost by 7 to UNC Will in first game and am playing Minnesota on the road and down by 4 at half. Great games and am really enjoying this gameplay. I would like to see more off ball fouls by cpu

Ha! I know exactly what you mean about the first installment of 2K college bball. Layups would NOT fall - that's what made getting ANY basket a rewarding experience

Nice to hear. Did you sim through the tourney? Any thoughts on the field and if major conference schools are getting the nod when not deserved over a mid major?

While the tourney results seem better, it now seems too in favor of the higher seed team always winning. Did you see that in your sim by chance? Thanks.

Good point, I hadn't really thought about that. Future years will probably still be messed up.

Has anyone tried 2 player yet? We are doing a 2 player play now, and its laggy as hell. But 1 player games run flawlessly.

They've really tightened up Live's engine a bit. Some issues still persist, but the presentation is TOP NOTCH and it may be a sign of things to come next year in terms of using all these licenses for both the pro and NCAA titles. Can't wait.

But enjoying this so far, all I need now is a roster with all the names, and I'm good. Running with Cali at the moment, man Randle & Christoper are such beasts!

Just finished my third game on all conference ( testing each level right now ) I was Kansas and I beat Memphis 90-57. I was lights out from the perimeter and the defense contained Memphis all night long.

I have a very strong feeling that AA is the way to go...but need some more time. I can absolutely say I like the CBS presentation better...only because of the announcing crew.

I also took the Irish into Bloomington on AA and won by 8. I love playing at IU...such a fun stadium. I am still thoroughly impressed with the amount of fun that I am having with this game.

I can imagine that once the dynamic update hits with the correct schedules and OS has the roster completed, I will be in NCAA BBall heaven.

I have a few questions about your game in dynasty mode if you don't mind.

Who did you play with?

Who did you play against?

And was it televised by espn or cbs(or at least had their overlay/visual presentation)?
