Very weird question...But in custom games you don't play with the lastest update. Why is that? It seems like its on deflaut rosters

I did almost the exact thing. Got home, played MW2 for an hour, played Ghostbusters: The Video Game for like another hour or hour and a half, and then played 2k10 for 2 hours.

Lots of free time last night.

Hey guys what happened to the supposed dynamic crowd that was suppose to be included with the patch? I just started association for the first time and am in the playoffs and the crowd is still as quiet noise level wise as previous years. Though they did seem to be up on their feet moving more frequently.

Seriously, I miss this game pre patch. Everysince I downloading the patch, ive been nothing but frustrated. The missed shots, lockdown cpu defense, inability to stay with a ballhandler...there are just too many issues that frustrate me everytime I play.

Are you using the same sliders as pre-patch? If so that could be the problem. If you're not worried about any Association progress or time put into My Player, I'd advise trying to start from scratch as best possible. I did so and it did wonders - deleted everything except my saved replays. I even started playing off the CD instead of from installed to the HD when I noticed a lot more animations playing online than in single player. Right now I'm playing straight Pro, no slider adjustments at all and loving it. Not saying it's perfect, but it plays really well and given all the slider and gameplay options that can be adjusted, there's plenty of room for tweaking/tuning something here or there to taste. For me, fouls are on the low side most games but it's nothing that's irritated me much. Post-patch I think 2K did a great job getting the game to be mostly balanced using straight default sliders.

Of course depending on individual skill level someone might have to move up or down but overall this is the first sports game I've played in a while where I'm able to enjoy single player using straight default sliders. Sort of harkens back to the old Dreamcast/PS1 early PS2/XBox days when there were only difficulty levels that could be adjusted - and for the most part we accepted the games as they were at their core.

hey Spank, i'm using the following rule settings: Charge 90, Blocking 80, reach 70, Shooting 90, Loose ball 90, on superstar 10min and seeing 20-25 fts a game...

thx - I figure once I increase the foul slider settings I'll get more fouls. Just was saying that surprisingly I hadn't felt a strong need to tweak anything (other than quarter limit and def controller assist, which I lowered to 5); been playing straight base. Once I start getting into Association I'll start tweaking here or there

Guys, i deleted all of my past 2k10 saves pre patch and starting everything all over again. still..same result. im not able to hit jumpshots with players who are solid shooters. Im in my lakers association and the mid range for kobe isnt there, and ron artest and fisher are always cold. Should i reset the cache? And if I do reset, what exactly will be missing that i once had before?

Since the patch is imminent pretty much, i've started my player over with the draft combine, this time an athletic PG closer to my real life height weight (6'1" 165) and once the patch drops start fresh. Didn't like where my previous one was att anyway (as a SF the thunder call me up? really? with Durant and Jeff Green there? ok).

Are you using the 11/07 2K Official Rosters? This could be the sole reason why u are experiencing this since I've noticed that midrange shots were very difficult to get in with the latest rosters. Try reverting back to the 10/28 or even the 10/22 2K Official Rosters.

I'm real confused because I was told that no matter what I do to the slider settings, foul settings, or gameplay levels, they wouldn't work in My Player and everything would be on 50.

Are you trying to say this isn't the case?!

No, I misspoke - I'm pretty sure you're right. I haven't gotten into My Player yet but was trying to cite reasons why someone might be reluctant to start from scratch. Not that anyone should have to

Its like wiping your HD clean and removing temporary files which may help resolve certain console problems, and may also update data that is displayed in the dashboard. It will prompt you to redo the update but it is a way to make sure you are using the current files that you download.

I have NBA 2K9 (PS3) and have been playing Association with updated 2010 rosters and have been really enjoying that. However, wanted to see what improvements NBA 2K10 (PS3) brought so purchased it used yesterday and played a few games. Have to admit, I was not too impressed! Guess I was expecting major gameplay updates (from 2K9). I mainly play the Association mode and with that being the case, am very content with 2K9, and therefore, decided to return 2K10. Maybe next year there will be greater updates to warrant buying the new title.
