are the stars playing any differently post patch? ie. taking shots that should be taken, no pass out, shooter more often, playin more aggressively come fourth quarter

yes it's better. not 100% but a lot better.

Well, I played a second game and it was more of the same. My FG% is high 50's low 60's for both teams. I'm not seeing the same paint contact animations that I was and it's easier to score (this could all be in my head though). I find it easy to get to the rim like I did before restarting only instead of the new contact making my shots difficult, I'm making most of my shots in the paint.

Before I liked it because I knew that once I got past my defender, there was a good chance I was missing the shot. This caused me to rely on my midrange game.

The thing is, I'm having GREAT games. I beat Portland 112-109 and lost a heartbreaker to Golden State 100-99. The thing that bugs me is I was getting better stats before... still the games are close and it's fun, so it's not too bad. I just liked winning while shooting 45% before.

ok, after really diggin into this game, uninstalling and clearing cache, then reinstalling patch, i gotta say...wow! here are my stats:

i was insulted when they put terry and barea on me in the 2nd qrt and went off! i mean abused them for 51! cool thing is Kidd had 9 ***, not 25. and Dirk had a quiet 21 after torching me for 19 in the first half.
the most satisfying lost i've had yet. nothing cheap they just out played me. i've figured out why i was having so much trouble. 1. i did turn the def asst down to 0 (THANKS STREETS!!!). 2.turned the alley opp to 0 (big difference), flashy pass...25(both/ helps with alley oops), turned off clutch(left clutch slider alone). and the big one, i stop playing this game like LIVE10! it's amazing, both games (Live & 2k) play completely different but once you learn to play them, you'll get simular results...

to be safe and to get a fresh start, i would delete your profile, settings, sliders, association, and clear the cache. i did all of these things minus clearing the cache, and everything is working out great.

i had the same experience as you actually...PIP and getting to the rim was easy but then i did the above and also lowered the defensive pressure slider to 50 for all coach profiles and it drastically changed the game...a lot more midrange. try it out. i did after people were saying to do this, and it's great.

but if you're enjoying the game as it is now i would keep it the way it is.

Why didn't I buy this for 360? It's a sad joke that the ps3 patch isn't out yet. Did psn already update? That means it's not going to be out for at least another week?

Well either way, the patch isn't out yet and the 360 patch has been out for over a week.

Yup. Sadly, Sony is to blame.

The strange thing is, you'll buy that one game on the 360 that is multi-platform and then Sony will clear the patch first. It's happened before, too. Madden is one example.

Yea true, I'm sure the patch will come out soon enough, and I will be glad that I bought it on ps3 since my 360 is starting to crap out on me.

Maybe for the delay of the patch, but Sony didn't fail to QA the damned game in the first place. Sony didn't force 2K to release a broken, buggy, unplayable mess of a product, and Sony is under no real obligation to release a patch in the time frame we want.

And this is coming from someone who actually despises most of Sony's business practices. So you guys can shift blame to Sony if you like, but this game is unadulterated garbage out of the box. A 60-dollar coaster. It's a situation that 2K created, not Sony.

Can anyone confirm whether the patch fixed online co-op Association where the game results actually save to the season instead of not counting at all?

I asked this earlier but there is no real confirmation from the patch details...I'm on the ps3 but I'm just wanting to know if me and my friend should get our hopes up for starting our online Association when the patch drops or if we should go ahead and trade this one in for something else.

So the game is so bad that somehow a patch that takes less than 60secs to download will make it better? Would be nice if people didn't feel the need for overly dramatic claims when trying to make a point. If the game really was as bad as some of you claim I don't know why you'd think a patch would fix it for you.

Personally, I feel the gameplay's amazing post patch. Can't say enough about the improved contact and the animations overall. Playing on all default Pro (down from All Star) - loving it

Actually, I acknowledged that fact by saying "maybe for the delay of the patch."

And brother, you're projecting. I really don't need the validation of a soapbox rant. I was simply offing my 2 cents in a discussion on a discussion board. Frankly, if you don't disagree, you really didn't have to have a reaction. If you do, you've failed to mention why. Which leads me to believe that I'm not the one who enjoys the soapbox.

Well, in answer to your question, I play Association almost exclusively. If players don't progress (and this is only one example of the problems here), Association mode turns into season mode because there's no point in scouting prospects or moving on in years. I don't feel like anything I said was overly dramatic; there was a problem here for me.

Whether or not it was a problem for you is immaterial.

With the direction the conversation we were having headed, your post added absolutely nothing. I understand his frustration but pointing out how the patch is now in Sony's hands has zero to do with how you feel.

umm...i think i like hall of fame...the lakers beat me senseless lol...but i didnt get cheated and they were shooting about 51%...this is pre patch PS3 btw...

anybody know when the 2 tone players will be fixed? would like to start my association but dont want to keep starting over after every other update. After the one that fixes that problem I think I will just go with whatever roster I have and enjoy the game from there
