NBA 2K10 Q&A: Retail Copy in Hand

I and a few others were lucky enough to attend the NBA 2K10 launch party here in NYC.

We were given full copies of the game and are willing to answer questions.

The only thing I'm going to tell you guys right now:

NO QUESTIONS ABOUT RATINGS. We already post them in the NBA 2K10 screenshots section.

One more question, does the CPU block an unusual amount of contested jump shots like last year (HOF)? Thanks in advance.

Thanks man. That is a huge addition IMO. My friend and I play on the same team in an association against the AI and this makes it possible for us to complete it now. Really appreciate you answering my question. I LOVE THIS SITE

Hi pared,

I know you are so busy answering q's but i hope you wont mind answering this question. In 2k9, it's always like when the cpu go down to their court, they always (if not, most of the time) looks for the PG to handle the ball. That forces me to exploit it by waiting them to pass the ball to the PG and initiate a tip for a steal. That just feels like the AI is so dumb. So my question is, was that removed or still there?

Has that hustle animation been removed where a player dives for a loose ball, goes out of bounds and comes up with a separated shoulder?

The red on the floor isn't that color which throws it off and makes it look atrocious. They put the crowd too far away. Check out this screen so you can see how the seating arrangement should have been.

Hey guys. I was able to buy the game off of a guy that went to the 2k party.
The locomotion and movement is Much improved. I'm loving it. I would slightly equate it to the way Live moves, the difference being Lives system is MUCH more user friendly. Meaning with 2k left stick movement has to be much gentler. Lives system handles drastic left stick movement much better.
But I prefer 2k10. This year FINALLY I can do practically every isomotion move on command. Practice will be necessary but it's kick ***, I'm happy.

Like already mentioned the CPU fg % is too high on all-star. Sliders will fix this tho.

Loving the unforced turnovers. Much Much more cheese proof. Any gameplay related questions I'll try to answer them.

I just realized it wasn't the ugly red carpet. As you said the seats are to far back behind the basket.

looked like my high school graduation the way the seating is, not sure i'm a fan of that arrangement, but hey, that's just me.

The crowd completely covers the red. They have the seating incorrect and the reporters and other tables should go right down to the area where red and blue meet.

The red is also off. Looks more like a peach red or something. The IZOD logo should also be on the base.

What have they done to the court?? Why is it all orange around the outside?? I love what 2k do every year, and 2k10 has got me more excited than ever, but why do this...? Just keep last year's court if it's gonna look this bad. Hope they can release an update or patch to fix this, probably not though.

That's really kinda annoying actually... I was thinking about running with them alongside my main association with the Cavs, as my young team to develop... Leaning towards OKC now.

But they took a step back with the seating. I was also going to run a association with Nets, still will. It should be fun developing Yi, Lee and Brook.

While we're talking about the Nets hows Yi in this years game. For any of you who never played with Yi due to his shooting ratings he was Dirk and KG like. Is he still that good?

I agree, those guys plus Devin, CDR and T-Will make a good young team.

I just don't think I can stomach looking at that arena for 41 home games...

Hi, I'm new here. This is my first post: *throws up the devil's horn* I just wanted to know did 2K fix the tie up timeout glitch? In double teams, when you tie up the ball--player B can call a timeout out of the tie up.
